It takes a while, but she goes home

When Lauren gets home, it's much later than she had planned. She hadn't been able to shake Ashley, so she ended up getting lunch with her and then Ashley insisted on walking the mall too. When Lauren had mentioned going home, Ashley even fished for an invite, which wasn't going to happen.

Lauren throws the diaper box into her room, trying to put them out of mind for now. She goes about her usual routine for a few hours, until she finally starts to feel tired. The stress from the morning had taken its toll on her. It's early compared to when she normally goes to bed, but today she doesn't care. She walks to her room, opens the door, only to be greeted once more by her bare mattress. Lauren groans, remembering she never looked for another set of sheets. Lauren sighs, leaving her room to scavenge for some sheets. Her search doesn't yield much in the way of options, unfortunately. By the time she finishes checking both linen closets and considers what she's going to do if there aren't anymore sheets, she remembers that her mother kept some spares in the laundry room.

Lauren rushes to the laundry room, hoping to find something, anything really. Sorting through everything there, she finds a box labelled "sheets" and her heart soars. She cracks it open and eagerly pulls out the first set. "You've got to be kidding me," Lauren blanches. In her hands, she holds a set of Tinkerbell sheets. She recognizes them. They were hers from when she was younger. She tossed them aside, looking deeper into the box. After all, there has to be something better than those, right? Apparently not. With each pair she pulls out the worse it seems to get. She recognises all of them. Some were hers and others were Vanessa's from when they were younger. Their mother had apparently held onto them for sentimental value or something. Another groan escapes Lauren. "I guess it's one of these or nothing..." She hesitates a second before she decides to grab the Tinkerbell sheets, putting the others back in the box and shoving it back into place.

Despite herself, it doesn't take long for Lauren to get back to her room and put the sheets on her bed. Once they're on, Lauren takes a seat on the side of her bed and stares at the brightly colored box in front of her.

Meanwhile, Vanessa watches on amused. If Lauren is using those, then Vanessa knows that she must not have any other options. She can't help but laugh a little. "Maybe you should have learned how to use a washer and dryer instead of just throwing away all your sheets." Vanessa stares at the screen in anticipation as Lauren finally gets up and puts the box on the bed. Soon enough, Lauren rips open the box, dumping its contents onto the bed. Vanessa nearly falls out of her chair and puts a hand to her mouth to stifle her laughter. "What the heck are those? Why did she grabs those ones?" She knows there's no way Lauren would've chosen those unless she had to. "Did they not have any other options?" Vanessa laughs. This is too good to be true. She sees Lauren's lip pop out in a pout, clearly frustrated as she looks through her options.

Lauren's hand hovers over the plethora of options available to her. There really is a staggering amount there... and none of them are what she would consider good. She glances over them, not wanting to wear any of them, really, but... she already bought and opened them. She spends more than a few minutes staring at her options before saying "screw it." She reaches down to grab the first one that catches her eyes. And the one that finally does, it does so for good reason. She looks at the garment in her hands. The sides, straps, and waistband are a cool minty green with the front and back being white. And on the front and back? Multiple graphics of Tinkerbell. Might as well match her bed spread right?

"Ugh, I can't believe I'm doing this," she says, shoving the other diapers back into the box and setting it aside. Then she turns back to her bed, taking another look at the offending garment. Last night, she had been drunk when she decided to put that diaper on... Now, she was making a deliberate decision that she needed to wear them. Going by the last few days, it was accurate, but it still stung to admit even if just to herself. Lauren hooks her fingers into her waistbands with trepidation before she shoves her pants and panties to the ground and steps out of them. She spreads out the diaper angling it toward her. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she turns away and practically slams her butt onto the diaper. A second later, she connects the straps, locking it around her waist. And when she stands up, she feels a noticeable difference from last night. This one stayed in place, nice and snug on her. If nothing else, she supposes that's a win. Maybe this means she won't wake up in wet sheets again?

Lauren shivers as she feels the cool A.C. of her room wash over her thighs, prompting her to climb into bed. She turns off her lights and lays there for a few minutes. Then a few minutes turns to half an hour, and she finds herself having trouble sleeping despite how tired she is.

Last night, she went out like a light after she climbed into bed, and she slept better than she had in years. After another 15 minutes of struggling, she decides to try to recreate the night before as best she can. Climbing out of bed, her bare thighs shivering some, she turns on the light and rushes out of the room. She ran through the house to her parents' little liquor cabinet, taking a few healthy swigs from one of the bottles before rushing back into her room and stripping off the rest of her clothes, until she is standing there in just her Tinkerbell diaper. As soon as she is finished stripping, she notices again just how cold the room is. Her nipples jut out, and another shiver passes through her whole body. She practically dives under the covers.

After she turns off her lights once more, she finds sleep doesn't elude her for much longer.
