Raven is at peace.

"Tofu, tofu, tofu..." Gwen sang, carrying the bag inside happily. Apparently she was quite hungry, hence her eagerness to go shopping for food. I suppose that made sense, considering her "backstory". She had been programmed to believe she just escaped from some lab or something. Probably didn't eat much while there. Not that it was the only bag, nor the only one she was carrying. She had two in her arms and one dangled by her tail. It was quite handy...

Unlocking my front door, I stepped inside. "Raven, we're home!" I called, hoping she'd respond. When she didn't, I put my bags down. "You start unpacking. I'll check on her. That way if something important gets interrupted, you don't get blamed," I said. Gwen smiled and nodded. "Love this plan, dude," she said, giving me a thumbs up.

Heading upstairs, I knocked on the door where Raven had been prior to me leaving. "Raven? You in there?" I asked, hoping to god she hadn't tricked me with that meditation thing so that she could run away.

After a moment, I heard her speak at last. "Yes. Come in, it's your house," she called back. Opening the door, I found her sitting in a circle, lotus style. "Back already, John?" she asked, opening her eyes and lowering herself down to the floor before standing up.

"You sound much calmer," I noted. She smiled. "I am. I had forgotten how relaxing meditation is. I had stopped doing it so much when I gained control over my powers. Now I have something else to control...my desire. It's okay though. It worked flawlessly. ...I just had to offer it one thing in return for proper control." Guess her mind still operated on that emoclone thing.
