A Gnome Arrival

Althana was heading down the road to the town in the distance, it would be another 4 or 5 hours until she got to the town, this little town on the outskirts didn’t even have an official name yet, it went through a mess of names on maps for the past few years but none of them stuck and the chances the town identified as any of them was limited at best. The place did have a few things going for it, mostly in the way of resources not really found in other places. Granted, they didn’t even have a mayor or lord, the master of the Adventurer’s Guild was the highest authority, along with the highest-ranked Cleric at the local temple. The temple and adventurer's guild usually got along well enough, mostly because many of the church’s lower-ranked members also became adventurers to gain experience in the outside world.

Althana was registered as an adventurer herself, it helped her with finding the best materials for her projects. She was an Artificer, one that specialized in alchemy, the main reason she had become an adventurer was that it was because it was a good way to get funds for projects, and it had the added bonus of being a means of finding resources to harvest. Granted, she didn’t have assets that were as defined as others around her, even by Gnome standards. As a gnome, Althana was shorter than most other races, with the added bonus of being confused for a child by most of the taller races. Being practically flat didn’t help matters. With AAA-Cup bust, and a butt just as defined, she really didn’t stand out physically. Mentally, Althana was a titan. She was accomplished academically, as well as being capable in almost every intellectual pursuit she had. Granted, she could have been a Wizard but she found labwork far more interesting. That all said, she still needed resources and funds but the market in all the places she had operated prior were not working out for her.

Althana had always wanted to have an atelier, a single building with all the workspaces she would need for her projects, storage for materials, and a place for her to sleep without inconveniencing anyone or spending resource at an inn for an extended period of time was a very appealing goal for a crafter like her.

As per usual, Althana was in a forge apron green lingerie with leotard plate armor over her lingerie that left what would be a cleavage space on someone with a more pronounced bosom and some open space on the mid and lower part of her abdomen. She had a few changes of clothes in her bag but they were needing some washing now.

Almost four and a half hours later, Althana was passing through the gate with a warning that an hour or so later and the gates would be closed. Now she just had to make her way to the guild and hope the building wasn’t closed yet. Thankfully, the complex was easily noticeable in the fading light. Althana quickly made her way to the structure and hurried inside, looks like the main building hadn’t closed up just yet. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Althana didn’t see anyone at the front desk for whatever reason, she to take a look at the request board, curious to see what the usual type of missions requested of Adventurers were. She immediately noticed that the requests were far more detailed than was typical. She figured that was just something you did in places that are less knowledgable about most things, especially when the requests called for something on the more obscure side of things. Althana was so engrossed in inspecting the board she didn’t even notice the sexy wolf woman in green lingerie come up behind her and greet her.

“Well now, you’re new face, how long have you been in the area?” Came the sound of a sexy she-wolf that made Althana jump in surprise.

“Oh, um, I just got here a few minutes ago,” said Althana nervously, “I wanted t discuss something with the master of the guild here, but I figure she’s already stepped out for the evening.”

“Not quite,” said the she-wolf with amusement, “I happen to be the guild master for this guild. Allow me to introduce myself,” she made an eloquent bow, “I am known as Selvina, the current master of this guild.”

Althana made a courteous bow of her own as she said, “I am Althana, part-time Adventurer and practicing Alchemist. I thought we could work together in making a small atelier to assist with the town’s needs, we could even put in some extra rooms for whatever reason you might require. I know it won’t drive up business all that much, and I really don’t have any resources to make that many requests at the moment, but could make things a bit easier for some of the residents. Although, given the mild danger that can come from an atelier at times, mostly by what is held there more than what is made there, it will have t be a bit removed from the town proper.”

“That actually works out well for us,” said Selvina, “we were actually in a discussion about some things that need to be kept separate from the rest of the town for the time being. We can discuss this in more depth in my office, tomorrow. For now, please just head to the inn and rest up, I have a feeling our meeting will run a bit longer than anticipated.”

“I think I understand,” said Althana with another bow and headed out. She was pretty sure she saw the sign for the inn, so she headed in that direction.
