Grand Prize: Genie of the Ring

Before Luke could explain himself he heard his name.

"Luke Smith"

The crowds cheered as Luke turned to the stage.

"The highest-performer started today a normal human. But now is a Level 5: Hot Arcane Breeder. Please give it up to Luke Smith" Glinda said before clapping.

The crowds cheered as light shined down on Luke. He panicked and turned to Rebecca and Shannon.

"What do I do?" Luke yelled.

Rebecca ran up to Luke's ear.

"Don't make a scene, go accept the reward," Rebecca shouted into Luke's ear.

Luke turn backed to the stage and began making it through the crowd.

"And here he comes, ladies and gentlemen. Our top breeder of the day. And for all you new sorcerers, to reach level 5 in one day a male sorcerer must impregnate 20 different women during a Breeding Ritual. Usually, men take fewer women and more time to reach level 5. But today is the Breeding Days the area is bursting with mana. Love is in the air. Our security sensors confirm Luke Smith is wearing a newly evolved level 5 talisman. Therefore, please put your hands together for the proud father of twenty!" Glinda said pointing to Luke as he reached the stage.

Luke raised his hands to block the stage lights. He could now see the room was full of magical creatures of all types. Luke's eyes darted around trying to take in all the new demi-humans.

Rebecca pulled her microphone away from her face.

"No need to be nervous Luke," Glinda said touching his arm.

Luke turned to Glinda. She gave him a smile before turning back to the crowd.

"As a Life Witch, I welcome our new Life Brother. As chief engineer of today's Breeding Ritual, I recognize his achievement. As Coven Leader, it is my pleasure to reward Luke Smith with the 'Genie of the Ring'." Glinda said shooting sparks out from her raised hands.

The crowds cheered.

"Now, now, some of you might be thinking, a genie is way too much power for a new sorcerer. Fear not, don't forget lesser Jinn only grant one wish and are limited in the scope of their power. Our coven high council agreed that a small wish spell is a just reward for reaching level 5. Luke has greatly contributed to today's ritual and will likely become a powerful sorcerer in the years to come." Glinda said putting her hand out to Luke.

The crowd went silent. Luke could see a small simple bronze ring in Glinda's hand.

"Luke please take your prize and put it on your finger for all to see. We don't want anyone trying to pick-pocket you. I am looking at you Stephen Sticky fingers." Glinda said pointing to a Cat Man in the crowd."

The crowd laughed but was silenced as Luke took the ring. He hesitated for a moment before placing it on his left middle finger.

"There you have it, folks, Our Grand winner," Glinda said before magical sparkes fell from the ceiling.

The crowd cheered at the scene.

"Next up is the largest group to join the L.A. Life Coven today," Glinda said pointing to the giant screen.

Luke was guided off the stage. He was led back into the crowds. Luke ignored the noise as he made it back to his group.

Once he reached his baby mamas Luke sighed in relief. Rebecca, Shannon, and Liz smiled at his return.

"Glad that's over," Luke said smiling.

"What?" Liz yelled over the crowd.

At that Luke's phone buzzed. Looking down, he saw a group chat message from Shannon.

"Let's get out of here. A bunny girl says that after the reward ceremony, they're going to have a dance party. We should leave before things get crazy."

Luke replied: "Agreed, follow me".
