Chapter 14 by Blues32 Blues32

Friendly chatting or perhaps a bit of flirting?

Flirt a bit. She seemed shy.

Sipping my own bottle of water, I leaned back in my chair. "I have to say...you look utterly incredible," I said slyly. "I've never seen a girl with so much muscle yet retaining a definite air of femininty." Which was true...though the "air of feminity" might have been stretching it a bit. Chie was an obvious tomboy. That worked out fine for me. I liked tomboys.

In response, Chie nearly spat out the mouthful of water she had, swallowing it awkwardly. "Wh...what? You really think so?" she asked, stunned. Her face was a bit red. Whether it was from embarrassment or because she had a bit of water go down the wrong tube (if she indeed HAD a wrong tube), I couldn't say. It was adorable, seeing this girl almost two feet taller then me being so shy.

I put my bottle of water down. "Absolutely. Chie, you're a regular amazon. I wouldn't just SAY that if I didn't mean it," I went on. Her face was flushed as her eyes darted downward. "Ah ha ha..." she tittered nervously. "That's...that's nice of you to say, John..." "Don't say that. It makes it sound like you think I'm being insincere," I chastized playfully. The tone of my voice made it quite clear I wasn't really upset with her.

"You're really something else, you know that?" Chie said, fiddling with the bottle in her hands. "Most guys gawk at me like I had two heads. I can't help how tall I am. And I like being active," she explained. I scoffed. "That's because some guys feel like a strong woman is an affront to their own manhood. I'm not so insecure. I may not be able to beat you in armwrestling, but I can overwhelm you in other ways."

Her eyebrow quirked. "Is that right? And just what "other ways" are you talking about?" she asked, her cheeks pink and a slight twitching smile on her face. I shook my head. "No, no, I shouldn't. I wouldn't want to bruise your ego," I teased.

Snorting, she shook her head back. "Uh huh. That's because you're all talk," Chie teased back. "If you're a man, you'll step up. You threw the gauntlet. You got to follow through." I stand up, cracking my knuckles and neck. "Alright, you asked for it," I replied before joining her on the couch. I pressed my lips to hers. Her eyes widened a moment before closing and kissing back.

Is kissing enough?
