Nick continues to dig his grave further [Nick's PoV]

Nick's PoV

I silently cursed to myself for not cleaning out the bowls right away.

"I-I'm sorry." I sighed and lowered my head. "I panicked, and thought it would sound too convenient to say that my dogs were out with my parents too." I rubbed the back of my head, this one wasn't a full lie. The dogs were most definitely with my parents ... in a sense. "

I get nervous around new people. I over-think some things and then realize I have to answer and I don't want to lie, but I'm afraid the truth wouldn't sound like the truth." I spoke as fast as she had when she entered. This wasn't really acting, I was actively panicking as I thought I was already blowing my only chance of normal interactions while here.

"All right. All right. Relax. Don't worry! Didn't mean to stress you out! I can be like that sometimes. It's fine. Give your parents my regards then" she responded. I had no idea if she actually bought it, and she was still giving me quizzical look. While heading towards the door.

"And maybe I'll meet them on my way home right? Can't miss two people I don't know walking two dogs!". She said over her shoulder, and with that she opened the house door, gave you a wave and left.

Hurricane Olivia is no more.

I waited for a bit to make sure she was gone and closed and locked the door. I sighed and slid down to the floor, hitting my head a couple times. "Idiot. Idiot." I sigh and look over to where the pets were. "You can come out now", I yelled out.

A bit of a bad timing with a release when the hurricanes are killing dozens of Amazon's **** labour in USA, but I'm to lazy to change Olivia's descriptions.
Remember guys actual slavery is boring and not fun!
