Back to Work

The quiet night was followed by a quiet week. People asked Amy about her eye but she just dismissed it as a fun contact that she was trying and most people just left it at that. They spent the days at work and their nights together as a normal couple. They went to dinner, saw a movie, and just generally enjoyed their time together. It wasn't until they were having dinner that Amy brought up the gun again.

"So what have you been transforming with this week?" Amy questioned taking a bite of her food.

"Nothing yet. I've been kinda scared to do it again after that close call." Brendan replied.

"Really! Nothing?!?" Amy asked. "I've been trying all kinds of stuff to see if I've changed. I spent an today during work trying to shrink and grow co-workers hair. I get we had a scare but come on it works now."

"Yea but for how long Amy? We don't know if it's just gonna stop working again."

"Yea we do. It didn't stop working till I hit that button. We don't hit that button and we're fine, and if we do we just gotta give you a shot again and we're back in business." She said. "And you can't say you didn't enjoy that day we spent at the mall. I still have all those clothes sitting in the back of my trunk. We didn't even begin to scratch the surface of what you can do."

"I meann..." Brendan hesitated thinking it over. While he had his reservations she was right. He had really enjoyed that day at the mall before it all went wrong. He thought it over as he looked up at Amy and her pleading eyes. "I guess it should be fine." he relented.

"Yayyy!" Amy said bouncing up and down. "I'll bring over everything tomorrow and we can have a fun weekend. But tonight." She leaned over to him and whispered. "I just want you."
