Lauren and her neighbors

Lauren left her car. One by one, her neighbors turned to see her as she approached. Lauren blushed, adverted her gaze. Everyone had the same mocking jeering faces. It was like a nightmare, all her neighbors new her darkest secrets and private shames! She saw Alan talking with a laughing man, who both plainly leered after her as she walked by.

Lauren gritted her teeth, ears and cheeks burning from the commentary. She was almost home... almost home...
