The new pet.

Before I had to say anything, Blackfire eagerly opened the window. "Jinx!" she squealed in delight, tail wagging so hard that it made a solid thump when it hit the nearby table. The dog-girls gave each other a quick kiss...though it was more then just a friendly peck.

Jinx let herself in by climbing through the window. It was a bit awkward and she fell to the floor once she got in. "Heh...these things are throwing me off," she explained, gesturing to her chest. She was wearing scraps of her old costume. Whether this was done by her to suit her mindset or she was designed this way (her clothes having been torn up during their escape), I didn't know.

Jinx's tail was extremely fluffy, unlike Blackfire's sleak one. Almost like a husky's tail. Her nose was pink rather then black. In dog shows, that was considered a sign of inferior breeding. That suited her stray mutt style pretty well. Rubbing her nose, she grinned. "I thought I smelled you! What'cha doing here?" she asked, obviously addressing Blackfire. She didn't even seem to notice me.

Blackfire blushed. "I live here now with Master...er...John. I call him "Master". It just feels right," she explained. That's when Jinx noticed me. "Master, huh? Never thought you'd be so easily domesticated, BF," the mutt girl mused. "So what's your deal? You gotta know she's a wanted criminal, just like me. Are you sure you want to endanger yourself this way?"

Shrugging, I shook my head. "Nothing's happened so far. I've even taken her out with no problem. Police don't seem to recognize her now," I replied. That was the truth. While stunned to see a dog-girl, no one recognized her as a wanted criminal...because she really wasn't.

"You could live here too," Blackfire suggested. Jinx cocked her head. "That's right. Blackfire was really missing you," I added. Jinx cocked her head in the other direction, like a dog hearing a sound it didn't understand.
