You had me at Krav

“Yes!”

The thought of taking back control of your life is tantalizing.

“Great, it’s noon at twelve Main Street.”

It’ll be light with lots of people.

“Perfect!”

You show up at noon. You have never been an athlete and the class leaves you with a wonderful tired feeling. You dive into it, making it your new obsession.

Two months of daily classes and three hours a night of practice and you quickly become the best person in the class except for the instructor.

By the time break comes around you are a black belt and just for good measure you’ve begun Judo as well.

For the first time since it happened, you feel comfortable being by yourself at night,

As you stroll back from Judo, you hear a muffled cry for help. You poke your head down an alley. There a seven foot red skinned, bat winged demon grins at you.

“Two for the price of one.” A familiar voice growls.

He charges you with frightful speed. You side step and use his momentum against him. Throwing him against a brick wall. With him distracted, his would be victim sprints away.

He looks at you in anger. “I’m going to enjoy torturing you.”

He charges at you again. You swing your hand with adrenaline fueled ****. It hits him in the face making an unnerving, bone crunching sound. You spin, swinging your elbow into his neck with as much **** as you can muster.

He staggers forward and does a face plant on the ground.

You adjust your stance and wait for him to stand. He doesn’t.

Instead his skin pales. His body shrinks and wings simply evaporate into the darkness.

You walk over to him and give him a little kick. He’s motionless.

You turn him over. Recognition hits you. It’s Professor Lee from the math department.

“Shit!”

You just killed a professor. You debate calling the campus police. You know they won’t believe you. Finally, you decide against it.

You could just leave school or you could stay and pretend this never happened.
