What Happens Next?
A Mind Can Be A Dark and Dangerous Thing, Part 1
A split second after Chase tapped the screen to create the link between her mind and Aaron's her eyes flashed the same color as his but only for the briefest of moments. Dr. Meridian looked down at the tablet and she studied the readings of both her and Aaron's brain waves and they were almost completely in sync.
Chase tapped the tablet screen and closed her eyes., "Alright Mr. Cross let us see what's going on in that head of yours."
When Chase opened her eyes again she found herself standing within Aaron's Mindscape, a sort of inner realm that all beings capable of thought possessed. Her mental avatar had assumed a form that was much like her physical body, except it was slightly transparent.
"This isn't what I expected.," Dr. Meridian said as she looked around the dark, shapeless void that permeated Aaron's Mindscape.
"For someone of his obvious intelligence I would have thought that his mind would have taken on a different form... Most minds are like buildings. The more powerful the mind the larger the building with rooms being an indicator of intelligence. More rooms meaning more intelligence but this is weird... It's like his mind is empty but then that would mean he is a vegetable with no thoughts or feelings or memories."
Chase again looked around and saw nothing but endless black., "How can this be?"
"Who. Are. You?!," The smooth, oddly melodic voice caused Dr. Meridian to turn around in a panic, but she didn’t see anything but a field of wriggling black cubes. They were darker than the void around them, seeming to absorb and feed on The Darkness they moved through. She strained her ears but she didn't hear the voice again.
As she watched the cubes the huge, black expanse surrounding her suddenly sprang to life. Thousands of cubes flew about like a swarm of insects. They silently and expertly started combining into various complex shapes while also cycling through a multitude of colors. In just a few short seconds, Dr. Meridian found herself standing on a pristine marble floor in what appeared to be the foyer of a Mansion. It was oddly familiar, she felt as though she had been there before but she couldn't place it.
In hopes of finding the insight she was looking for she began exploring the representation of Aaron’s consciousness., "This shouldn't be happening.," Chase commented as she moved from room to room but the ever-changing layout slowed her down somewhat.
Dr. Meridian was totally fascinated with Aaron's mind. She had performed The ADT Procedure on several occasions, done extensive research into making it a much safer and efficient diagnostic tool, and she kept well informed on any research relating to it but none of that prepared her for what she was experiencing now. A person's Mindscape was shaped by their experiences and it took on a form that represented their self-image in some way or some core aspect of their personality but Aaron's seemed to be in flux which shouldn't be possible because at about 18, The Mindscape's form became set. Sure it might become larger, more intricate and detailed but it's over all form didn't change.
However, Aaron's was continually fluctuating... First with that empty black void which shouldn't exist in a healthy, intelligent mind like Aaron's then there was the sudden shift into The Mansion-like surroundings and while it seemed like she had been walking for hours she actually felt like she had spanned The World several times by now. She had seen Oceans, crossed through forests, journeyed over mountains and all of that within the first few rooms of Aaron's mind. It was strange, Mental Landscapes tended to be very cohesive unless there was brain damage or some sort of aberrant psychology at work but Aaron's was all over the place... The rooms in Aaron's mind were Worlds unto themselves and sometimes Worlds within Worlds.
"There's no way this is a Human Mind!," Chase exclaimed in exasperation, unable to grasp what she was seeing. Aaron's Mindscape made perfect sense in some ways, but was completely illogical in most aspects and she just couldn't shake the feeling that she had experienced while standing in that void when she first arrived. It was as if Aaron's mind were attempting to conform to her expectations of it but was fighting against it's own enormity at the same time. Then there was that voice she heard earlier that she couldn't explain.
Remembering that Aaron had told her that he lived upstairs in The Masters Estate, Chase eventually found herself upstairs in his Mental Landscape. She was certain this was where his Ego could be found and with it all of his most precious thoughts, wants and needs. That would be where she would find what she was looking for.
She found rooms marked with the names of Aaron's Sisters and Mother but they were all locked. She might be able to **** them open but she had no guarantee that they would contain what she was looking for and there was also the risk of triggering his mind's defenses. So far she had only been wondering around but if she tried to **** open any part of his mind that was closed it could have consequences and she wasn't ready.
"Where's Aaron's Room?," Chase wondered aloud as she continued onward into the depths of his mind. At first she hadn't noticed but everything around her has slowly changing... First the floors transitioned into grass and Chase saw Animals and Plants that had been extinct for decades then the walls and ceiling cracked and split before eventually smoothing out into some kind of dark stone or marble, Her heels making a clicking sound as she walked then the walls were replaced by rust-covered and jagged steel riveted in place, chains and hooks hung every where.
Chase shivered as the temperature slowly dropped the further she walked then she heard it... The Sound of A Child Crying and she broke into a run, brushing the chains aside as she hurried forward. The hall she was in was dark and she almost missed it, A Door with Aaron's name on it. Unlike his Sisters and Mother's doors which were warm and inviting despite being locked this one was of cold, impersonal riveted metal. Chase reached out and took the handle and tried to open it but the handle melted in her hand.
"This is definitely the place but how do I gain entry?"
Dr. Meridian tried to push on the door but it didn't budge., "Alright we'll do this the hard way.," She huffed clearing a few strands of hair from her face with her thumb.
Dr. Meridian held up her hand and in a flash of light it exploded and reformed in the shape of a futuristic-looking cannon which she leveled at the center of the door but before she could open fire the door slowly opened with an eerie creek like something out of some survival horror game. Chase approached the door with her literal "Hand Cannon" at the ready and peaked inside. At first it appeared to be just a large room, furniture was sparse relative to it's size, there were a number of high-end work stations against the wall. Nothing really earth shattering but then movement from within drew her attention to Aaron's bed, Dr. Meridian gasped covering her mouth with her hand which had changed back instinctively upon Chase seeing Aaron's Mother Cyndi on his bed wearing one of his shirts and masturbating.
Chase had met Cyndi a couple of times and she seemed some what reserved but this Cyndi was like a Woman possessed.
"Oh ah OH God Fuck YEEeeessss!"
The ear-piercing scream of pleasure from Cyndi dazed Dr. Meridian and the sight of the incredibly beautiful Milf on her back with one of Aaron's pillows between her legs had her feeling the heat. Chase was unable to look away and watched as Cyndi arched her back, grinding her hips back and forth in rough jerky thrusts then around in clockwise and counter clockwise circles hard and fast until her eyes flew open and rolled back into her head... Her mouth formed that perfect orgasmic "O" and she thrust her hips faster obviously enjoying the the intense sensations coursing through her body. Cyndi screamed and thrashed as wave after wave of orgasmic ecstasy assailed her toned, sexy body.
"oooOOOAAAAOOOoooahuuuuugh!"
Dr. Meridian had been trying to restrain herself but she was very aroused and the intensity of Cyndi's orgasm caught her off guard, causing her to experience a small climax of her own which threw her off balance and she tumbled into the room.
"I'm Sorry! I'm So So Sorry!," Chase attempted to apologize as she got to her feet and stood on shaky legs but as she looked over at the bed instead of finding a shocked Cyndi she found nothing but an empty and expertly made bed. In a panic she looked around the room and nothing seemed out of place but nothing seemed real either. As she walked over to the nearest wall, She noticed something odd. She just stood there and watched for a couple of moments and then she looked around in a panic. She realized that the room was melting and she rushed back to the door which was closed and grabbed at the handle but it disappeared before she could even touch it then the door itself followed suit.
She beat her fists on the door then she froze., "Let Me Out!"
"Who. Are. You?!," It was the same voice as before and Chase felt a cold shiver travel up her spine. She gulped, ready to activate the emergency escape function of her Neurocortical Monitor as she turned but she was greeted by nothing but complete and utter Darkness and then it was as if someone or something had pulled the ground out from under her. She had the sensation of falling but with nothing but impenetrable Darkness all around her she couldn't tell for sure.
How long she had been falling she couldn't be sure but suddenly without warning she found herself landing on her feet as gently as a feather. Instinctively she closed her eyes the moment she felt her feet come into contact with something solid... An almost imperceptible moment of fear overwhelming her senses. When she opened her eyes she found herself at the intersection of four hallways... Each one was identical - - White Walls, Grey Floors, and a Black Door every couple of feet. The halls seemed endless, stretching out as far as the eye could see before disappearing into a black void where no light appeared to penetrate.
Dr. Meridian looked from hall to hall for any clues as to her next move., "Well I'm Here Now What?!," She yelled in her sexy British accent.
A second later every door began opening and closing causing Chase to jump, The whole place shook violently and Chase was having trouble maintaining her footing.
"This shouldn't be happening.," Chase said with a puzzled expression., "The Mehohexital should have loosened all of his inhibitions...," Then realization set in., "... Oh God What If It Did?!"
Less than a second after she uttered those words, Silence pervaded that eerie space. A silence so deep and deafening that Chase felt like she was drowning in it, She gasp for breath then she heard a thunderous roar break through the silence and nearly knock her off her feet. The voice came from all around her, it poured through every cell in her body and it resounded off the walls of her mind in a sadistic echo and it only said one word., "Liar!"
Chase clutched at her head, covering both ears, trying to keep the voice out but it cut through any resistance she attempted like a chainsaw through flesh and by that I mean... Quickly and Painfully. The pain made her sick and she loss the strength to stand, falling to her knees, her eyes shut tight as she struggled not to puke up the Peanut Butter, Chicken, and Basil Sandwich or Lemon Cranberry Quinoa Salad she had for lunch. Chase flinched when she heard what sounded like something approaching her, There was a tapping like heels or maybe... Claws and whatever it was it stopped only a few feet from her. She could hear it breathing... Whatever it was.
Chase reluctantly opened her eyes and at first she couldn't tell that her eyes were even open until a shape began to take form directly in front of her.
Staring straight at her was an impossibly huge wolf. It's fur was long and bristling, the color of night with stars twinkling intermittently among the sea of black. It growled, bearing its teeth which glinted like knives in the dark, Its eyes shined bright red like two blood moons sharing the same sky and its face was covered in blood, some dried and matted while some was obviously very fresh and very wet.
Chase tried to suppress a shiver of terror but that only seemed to feed the fear and anxiety welling up from deep inside her.
The enormous creature took a couple of steps forward until it was face to face with Dr. Meridian. Chase tried too open her mouth but the terror was so vast and all-encompassing that she had momentarily lost the power of speech and that fear surged out of control like a roaring brush fire with what happened next.
Blood began to pour from the creature's bright red eyes like Niagara Falls then they rolled up and back into its skull, disappearing from sight and its huge jaws dropped open with a loud crack as a ghastly torrent of fat, wriggling maggots streamed from its eyes and mouth. Chase struggled not to violently disgorge the contents of her stomach as the sickeningly sallow mass spewed forth in a seemingly unending tide from the creature's mouth and eyes. Just when she thought the nausea was unbearable, the creature's putrid green tongue flopped out of it's mouth and hung down like a wet carpet hung on a line to dry. But what caused Chase to put her hand over her mouth to silence a scream was the word carved into its tongue.
It was the word "Liar!"
