You meet Antoine

It’s a short walk to the Black Hole. From the outside it’s a pretty nondescript two storey building.

“I’ll text Antoine and tell him we’re outside,” says Jane.

After a couple of minutes a tall black man comes out of the club. He comes over and gives both of the girls a hug and a kiss on the cheek. He smiles at you.

“Good to meet you bro,” he says extending his hand. You shake it remembering you’ve seen this hand fingering Carrie. You also realise this is the first time you’ve seen him wearing clothes. He’s wearing a t-shirt and sweat pants. Very casual you think.

“What’s with the soccer mom cosplay?” he asks Carrie.

Jane laughs. “Time to take it off,” she says.

You watch as Carrie pulls the sweatshirt over her head and stuffs it into her bag.

Antoine is clearly impressed and steps closer running his hands down her sides and inspecting her.

“You’ll fit in nicely,” he says. “What’s yours?” he asks turning to Jane.

“It’s just a plain shirt. I didn’t get the memo. But he has one,” she says pointing at you.

“We’ll sort you out inside, babe,” Antoine says to Jane. “OK bro let’s see it.”

You feel a little sheepish as you pull your hoodie over your head to expose your t-shirt.

“‘Bull’,” reads Antoine with a smile. “You’ll fit in perfectly. Follow me.”

You all follow Antoine and he ushers you into the club. You’re feeling more at ease with him and the club than you expected.

Just inside the door a woman hands each of you a ticket with a number of it. You go to hand her your hoodie, but she stops you.

“First timer? It’s not a cloakroom ticket. You’ll need it when you go through. Nice t-shirt,” she finishes tapping you on the chest.

You follow Antoine further into the club.
