You have a dull morning

You work through your emails and then a boring finance meeting. You’re less anxious than you were on Monday about Carrie being out of the house. How quickly this has become normal you think.

After an hour or so your phone pings.

Carrie: I’ve caught up with Maud and she’s going to take me to the shop she mentioned. She said something about killing two birds with one stone. It’s not until this afternoon though as she doesn’t get off until after lunch so I’m going to go shopping for some new yoga gear.

What’s that mean you wonder, but let it slide for now.

You: How was Jane?

Carrie: She seemed very pleased with herself. I think she might have said something like, ‘once you go black you don’t go back’. I think she’s planning on a repeat performance and she asked if I’d like to join her.

You: What did you think of that idea? Are you going to?

Carrie: I didn’t think of it. I told her if the chance comes up I’ll toss the coin. How’s your morning going?

You: Not much happening, just working through stuff.

Carrie: No agenda from Kim yet?

You: Nope. Maybe it is a work thing after all.

Carrie: I don’t think so, babes. Anyhow get back to work I’m going shopping Cx.

You put you phone back down and return to your keyboard.

A few minutes later there’s another ping and a WhatsApp message appears from Kim. It’s titled ‘Agenda’.
