I left the Inn feeling more confident then I did when I first entered. The Innkeeper whose name I learned was Nadia shared much information. This pleased me in a peculiar way, because I did not use my power or resorted to **** in any way. I simply charmed her with my charismatic personality and way with words.

There was a general shop in town where I got a few of my mundane items such as a map. I was surprised by how much ground I covered in my travel, it would take a while to get back home but at least I knew how to get back.

The other place I desired to go was to the witches lair. I learned from Nadia that due to orders from the Demon Hunter the local militia burned all of the witches possessions and her body. I don’t know what I expected to find at her lair, but it is the only magical lead I have so it is worth checking out.

Nadia offered to call in a favor with a militia member of who she was friends with to escort me to the lair. Apparently Barley had a goblin problem, and having an accomplished fighter by my side would be wise. I only needed to stay the night and wait for the next day when her friend visits.

I worried a little for Anna and May. I did not tell them I would be spending the night elsewhere. I hoped they were level headed enough not to panic. I cared for them in a way especially May she showed me kindness for the first time in a long time and taking her is what brought me back to health. I would not be abandoning nor sacrificing them. As of now they were my favorite toys.

Laying in the dark of Nadias inn trying to fall asleep, and missing the soft feel of Anna and May’s soft skin and subtle curves I realized two things. One Nadia collected quite a bit of money from me from this room and also the refreshments I purchased during our talk, she gave no information freely, I in a way payed for all of it. She would make a fine merchant, I thought, giving credit where it was due. Then came my second realization she is asleep somewhere in this inn, most likely unguarded and without Anna and May to feast on the demon is hungry.
