Six

Jim walked downstairs, it was almost time for dinner.

He ran into Lorriane as she was walking out. She looked extremely dressed up. She had done her hair up nicely and everything. She was wearing her expensive earrings.

"You're going out?" asked Jim.

"Oh yeah..." Lorriane fumbled slightly "meeting the girls, since our plans got cancelled. You can make yourself something to eat right? Theres's stuff in the fridge".

Lorriane didn't like lying but she didn't want to get into why she was going out. She didn't want to be late either.

"Sure, I'll figure something out" said Jim.

"Great!" said Lorriane with a beaming smile.

Her heels were loud agains the floor as she walked out of the front door.

Jim reheated some leftovers and sat in front of the TV.

Everyone from his school had decided to go to university straight after school, but he wanted to save some money to pay for his own tuition. He also wanted to get into culinary school, which wasn't easy to get into, so he took a year to practice and get ready for the admissions exams.

In the eveinings he played a lot of Call of Duty. He didn't love it but for some reason he kept coming back. He felt like he was wasting his time.

He switched on his XBox to get his mind off things.

He remembered he had to be at the bar early tomorrow. He had to open the bar and tidy up the mess from last night before the first clients arrived, otherwise Hank would be fuming.

It would be a quick gaming session, he thoguht he'd better have an early night.
