Danielle "accidently" bumps into Lauren again

Danielle waited patiently until the clock on the wall read 10:35 PM, taking a sip of her cocktail as she waited for the right moment to strike with the first step of her plan.

She saw Lauren flirting with one of her neighbors. Jerry, it looked like, despite his fiancee being out of town for the week. As she saw Jerry trying to think of a way to let Lauren down easily, Danielle smirked evilly. Now was the time to strike.

Danielle held her cocktail just right as she walked over to Lauren, who was still flirting with Jerry, apparently trying to persuade him that she was better than his fiancee. At that moment, Danielle bumped into Lauren, spilling her cocktail, and Lauren's, all over the front of the latter's dress.

"What have you done, you brainless baboon?!" Lauren shrieked, getting the attention of the other party members as she gestured down to the large red stain on her white gown. "This dress cost more than your house and you've ruined it!"

That was a lie, of course. It had actually cost Lauren about five weeks of her paycheck, but she only said that to make herself sound better than her hostess.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Lauren!" Danielle said, lying through her teeth. "Here, let me help you get that stain out before it sets!"

Danielle grabbed Lauren's wrist and lead her to her bedroom as the other woman huffed haughtily. Danielle only smirked as she opened the door to her bedroom. Step one was complete.
