Try to play the Guard

I figured I should try and play the guard. It was my only chance. I fell to my knees and whipped up some tears. I'd like to say I was faking the shaking but I was still freezing. After a few minutes I heard the door open and footsteps approach me. I jumped when I felt a something warm be drapped over my shoulders. I quickly bundled up in it, welcomeing the warmth.

"You okay." I played my part the best I could. "What do you think? I freezing cold in the refrigerator of a old abandoned ice cream factory waiting for a mad man to come and decide my fate and spilling my guts out to some hired goon." I pulled the coat closer to my body. "This is not what I was expecting when I decided to become a superhero." He knelt down and pulled me to his chest. Wraping his arms around me a filling me with warmth. I'll admit, I snuggled into his chest, which I could feel was well toned....and I did so because I really wanted to, not because I was acting. The warmth felt good.

He spoke again. Gently talking to me. "It will be okay. The boss isn't cruel. He'll probably just keep you locked up here until we decide to relocate, then we'll just leave you somewhere and you can leave all this behind you." I thought about his words. I have always heard that Dr. Zero was a more honorable villian. He was probably right. If I just waited, I would probably be able to leave at some point. I could get rid of this stupid costume and just forget this ever happened. But I didn't want to just give up and let these guys win. This guy's guard was down so I could get the drop on him.....but he was being so nice.....could I really do that to him?
