Kind of. The Elder lays down an ultimatum of sorts..

"Very well," he nodded. "I would not wish to punish mankind for your actions."

'...right, because THAT would be inconsistent,' Ria thought sarcastically, having investigated the world a bit, before deciding to dump the Note here, and gossip among Gods was a thing. Genocides tended to make the list of topics, so she knew that someone called Salem stirred up some kind of rebellion against these two, and one of them wiped out all of humanity for it, despite not all of them having been involved. Though she lacked some details, she knew enough to know these two were basically little more than overpowered children who threw a ruinous tantrum and broke their toys when they didn't function as they wanted.

Of course, she wasn't going to tell them that. She was trying to appease them after all. She could easily reclaim her Note and start anew elsewhere, and would certainly do so if the alternative was letting these two blow up Remnant. She wasn't going to be walking out of this with the blood of countless on her hands, thank you. Still, she'd see what kind of arrangement the Elder had in mind first, she still formed and attachment here, and wanted her fun.

"Seeing as this is our world you have come to, you will agree to these terms unconditionally, or leave if you don't want us simply writing our experiment off," the Elder stated.

"...fine, lay them on me."

"First off, you are to use your own Note to give Salem and her subordinates immunity to the effects of your... Herald's Note," the Elder stated.

"...why?" Ria asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Salem is... A part of humanity's test, so to speak," the Elder replied. "Overcoming her will be a major step to mankind's redemption."

'...right, like mankind needs redemption in your eyes... Actually, I suppose they do, seeing as you have them at your mercy...' Ria mentally grumbled, resolving to screw these two over in any way possible that wouldn't compromise Remnant. "Fine, though I ask that I can have the immunity be retracted should they be soundly defeated and taken out of your little game without being killed. They would, after all, have served their purpose at that point."

"Do not push your luck, Erokami," the Younger growled, only to be forstalled by a hand from his brother.

"I see no reason why not," he replied. "However, the second condition is that you are not to give your Herald or any of his allies any information on Salem they do not already have. This will include Ozma. Those are our terms." The Younger nodded begrudgingly.
