After a moment of thought, she decided she shouldn't give an answer to Ren that might lead to anything... intimate, not without Jaune's go ahead, or Yang's for that matter, heaven help her if she got her getting jealous...

So she said simply, "Honestly, I just wanted to get away from Yang for a bit, but I also didn't mind having help with my homework, more free time for reading that way. Jaune and Pyrrha went off to do their own things though, and Yang? She has waaaaay too much energy for me."

"I can relate," Ren said, a faint smirk of amusement gracing his features. Blake also chuckled.

"I can imagine..." Blake remarked, imagining Nora. "From what little I've seen, Nora seems even worse than Yang..."

"You aren't wrong... I've known her for years, still haven't found her off switch... I'm convinced she doesn't even have one, figuratively speaking of course. I've simply never seen her actually tired unless you count her actually sleeping."

"Not even in the morning?" Blake asked.

"...she's something that defies all logic in that regard... A morning person," Ren joked.

"...that settles it, she's an alien, someone take her away and dissect her," Blake said in a joking manner, getting a small chuckle out of Ren. "Where does she get all that energy from?"

"I blame the large amount she eats," Ren said in a dead serious tone. "Especially the sugary stuff... She drinks pancake syrup straight from the bottle. I couldn't tell you how many times I made pancakes, only to find I had nothing to put on them..."

"Why, the number too high, or did you just not bother counting?"

"...yes."

They resumed studying and quickly finished up homework, before settling in to simply read for a bit in the library.
