Preparing
Devonte entered the large cabin he shared with Douglas and Faith, shivering. The two brought him a heavy blanket, and Douglas got a fire going.
"There's a storm coming in. I saw it from the peak, looking north. The winds were as bad as anything I've ever experienced," he said. "A big one. How are we doing for wood, boy?"
"I've been chopping since you left, Sir," Douglas replied.
"We'll go hunting later, get some more supplies. I've got a bad feeling about this one."
"Well, first we need to get you warmed up," Faith protested. Devonte relented.
"Yeah, you're right baby. Why don't we take a hot bath, fuck, and then the boy and I will go hunt."
