Preparing the second turn

Cynthia stared down at the other woman. She couldn't believe it. Why lie about this? What was her angle?

"I don't know what you're playing at!" She said angrily.

Mia Hernandez sighed and rubbed her temples, "I'm sorry but I really, honestly don't know what you are talking about. My students aren't working on any sort of game. Or at least not with my knowledge or help, it's concievable that one of them could be doing something like that, but I can assure you that no request for beta testers came from my department. And as I told you before I'd love to help with your research project, I just don't have the time and YOU don't have the budget to make me make time," She put her hands down and then held out her hand, "Show me the email. I'm sorry but you probably got scammed. You said you downloaded something? Probably a virus."

"A virus...but it was on the University's server...here, it's right..." Cynthis stared at her phone. There was no email. She checked her deleted, her trash. It wasn't there. It was like it had never existed. "It's gone...well fine, here, look at this app then..." She opened the Nefarious game and passed it over.

Mia blinked, "Um..." She looked up at Cynthia, "This is just your background. Which app is it?"

"What? No. The app is open now. I can clearly see it." Cynthia could. She saw the timer counting down to the second turn, her hand, her coins, all of it. It was clearly open.

Mia shook her head, "Are you feeling alright? Maybe the stress is getting to you..."

Cynthia snatched her phone back, "The stress? Bullocks. If you won't help me I'll find someone else." She stormed off, trying to put on a brave front.

When she was alone again she took out her phone. What the hell? How come Mia couldn't see it? What was up with this game? It doesn't make any sense. She needed to find out more about it, and that meant playing it. She decided to select her new move now, INVENT. Maybe she'd learn more by doing. She put her phone away and hurried off, she did have a class to teach after all.

Regan was exhausted. She'd fucked herself silly all morning...and all afternoon too. She was exhausted, she'd never cum so many times in her life. What the hell was that thing? All she knew is she HAD to get rid of it.

With all her remaining strength she stood and made it to her window. She opened it and then threw the tentacle-dildo as far as she could.

Magic. Real fucking magic. If it could make that dildo...what else could it do? She didn't have enough coins to play another invention, so she had to play something different this turn. The Boobie Trap card would earn her a spy, so wasn't it better to ignore ESPIONGE and just get more coins? If she wanted to do that, she needed to play Work. She selected that as her next move and then set down her phone.

Part of her wanted to go back to bed, but she'd already wasted the whole day. Instead she got dressed and then went about texting friends to figure out what she'd missed in class. Now more than ever she didn't wait to fail and get kicked out, after all that might cause her to lose this app too, and she couldn't have that.

Kai sat on her bed in her dorm room and opened the app on her phone. She'd had a busy day but one of her assignments had been easier than she'd expected and she found herself with some rare free time. There were probably lots of things she should be doing with this time. Lots of things besides hiding in her room in her pajamas. And yes, it was hiding. She'd even turned the light off so nobody knew she was here. She was popular on her floor. The guys all seemed to want her and the girls all wanted to be her friend. It was nice, she supposed, but it was exhausting too. She felt like she always had to be on. She'd always had a hard time saying no, and she found that out here all alone it was harder than ever for her.

She took the time to read the rules of the game, all the way through this time. She felt like her earlier espionage decision was a good one, but next turn she should try earning points with an invention. She opened her hand to see what the game had given her.

She was a little confused by Milk-Milk. It was free but worthless? Actually no, it was free AND gave her cards/coins? That seemed too good to be true. She wondered what the special effect was.

It was worth playing it to find out. She selected INVENT as her next move, then put the phone aside.

8pm was approaching quickly. She decided to wait and see what happened in the game. She'd just close her eyes for a few minutes and rest while she waited.

Grey was confused. He really did have $50 in his bank account for signing up to be a beta tester, but all the checking he'd done the other day to prove it wasn't a scam was no longer verifiable. The professor did exist, but there was no mention of any sort of game and he'd even run into a student in that class and asked about it. She'd said she'd heard nothing of the sort.

He wasn't totally surprised by that. This was clearly magic and it had done what it needed to do to ensnare them. Why? He couldn't say, nor to what end.

His research at the library had yielded nothing. Or nothing useful. There were lots of books about magic and witchcraft, but nothing relating it to apps of any kind. He felt like a fool for even looking in a library. The only problem was he didn't know where else to go.

In the end he returned to the house he shared with Lars and decided to tell him about it. For some reason Lars couldn't see the app, and the original email had disappeared, but he could see the glasses.

He handed them to Lars, "Put these on."

He did, then he gasp, "Fuck dude!" Lars turned away, "Put some clothes on."

"I'm not naked. It's the glasses." Grey said.

"Shut up it's-" Lars froze as he suddenly looked down at himself. He raised the glasses up, then lwoered them. Then he raised them again, and lowered them again. He looked at Grey and did it all over again. "Ho-ly shit! Dude!"

"I know!"

"DUDE!" Lars said again.

"I know!" Grey repeated.

"What are we doing in here? Let's go!" Lars suddenly ran towards the front door.

"What? Hey!" Grey chased after him, only catching him eventually because Lars stopped to admire a group of passing female joggers.

Grey ripped the glasses off Lars, "Dude! Not cool."

"Not cool? I'm just looking. You see the blonde? She has a tattoo on her ass!"

Grey sighed, "Well....believe me now?"
