Predator privilege

As you steady yourself on the heels and get used to them, Lexie hands you a swipe card with a lanyard clip. As you look at it confused, Lexie looks at you with a smirk.

"This card has a special function. You see, the lead fox is special for more than just giving more points. They also get a special privilege. While the other foxes have to avoid the huntresses or be captured as prey, the lead fox gets the right to act the part of predator as well."

You look at her shocked.

"You can't mean-"

"That's right. While all these people are hunting you, you will be hunting them back. All the hunters/huntresses have a card reader on their belts, or, in the case of their pets, on their collars. At any time, while you're hunted, you can attempt to corner one or more of them and attempt to capture them long enough to swipe that card on the readers and give the voice command 'Prey caught.' If you succeed, the card reader will turn red and send a signal back to us and that person will be out for the rest of the hunt as well as be your prize after the hunt is over for a week. If you get all of the members in a team, you will be able to be a hunter, yourself, next hunt with all of your prey becoming your pets permanently."

You look the card over cautiously.

"Seems like a bit of a double-edge sword."

"It is. Not many lead foxes succeed at getting more than maybe two or three total during the whole hunt. The most any have gotten was five and that was because one of the teams, that time, was a newly formed group that didn't have good teamwork."

"What's the stop someone from taking it from me and using it themselves."

"That's what the voice command is for. It's locked to your voice and won't work with anyone else. Plus, anyone who tries to take it from you will be penalized depending on whether they were a hunter or fellow fox."

You nod in agreement.

"Very well. Let's see how I do."

"Glad to hear it. Now just speak into this mike and give the voice code for record.".

You chuckle as you look at the microphone Tina's holding and give the command. After they run the recording on the laptop they have, they give you the thumbs up.

"Promise not to use it yourself or give it to anyone else."

"Of course. This is a quality club. We don't do underhanded deals."

You nod in appreciation and walk with them to the field.
