Should I possess Airi or Chisa?
Possess Airi
I decided to possess Airi. With both my anger and Sophie's clouding my judgment, I could not resist the temptation.
I smirked a sadistic smirk. Yeah, I'll make her pay for what she's done to Sophie. What's the idiom again? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer? Why not have both your friend and your enemy closer, then?
Even if I were to never find a way to return to normal, I thought that being her for the time being wouldn't be so bad. I wouldn’t feel too guilty.
With a target in mind, I kept a low profile until lunch. Internally, though, I was excited about finally having the opportunity to take **** on her. During lunch, I joined Andrea, sitting in front of her. I did my best to immerse myself in Sophie's persona. Andrea was a friend of both me and Sophie that we met when we started high school. We weren't particularly close, but we often hung out during lunch, and sometimes after school.
She took a sip at her water bottle, giving an annoyed glance further away. "As always, Axel tried to flirt with me during Ms. Delcour's class, despite me telling him multiple times that I wasn't interested in him."
Axel was the previous student council president, who’s been replaced by Airi and stayed as the treasurer. He was known for being a ladies' man, always flirting with girls and often getting rejected.
"He could be almost cute if he were less... like that." Andrea sighed and grabbed a bite from her sandwich, pouting. “Ah... I'm so not looking forward to this afternoon's council meeting… But at least, with Airi, I don't have to worry about being hit on constantly when I'm there." She chuckled as she said that.
I laughed, thinking about the normal Airi trying to flirt with Andrea. "Hehe, considering her views on Queer stuff, I can't imagine her ever trying."
I closed my eyes and became lost in my thoughts for a moment. I planned to possess Airi, so it would be one of my goals to try to improve her image afterwards. Most students and teachers respected her, since she played the role of the good student. Past that facade though, she was cold; frankly, it felt like she didn't care about others if it didn't help her image. If I had to live as her, I didn't want to be the same bitchy and haughty girl she was towards Sophie.
After a moment, Andrea spoke. "By the way, where's Ben? You're usually both glued together, so it's rare to see you alone."
"H-huh?” Andrea's question took me by surprise.
"I mean, I haven't seen him at all today. Is he sick?"
Of course she'd ask that… Should I tell her?
After taking a deep breath, I was ready to reply. Even if tried to find a way to return to normal, it most likely wouldn't be solved in just one day. I would be spending a few days as Airi at least and my disappearance would become noticeable.
I did my best sad face and looked at Andrea. "Ben... didn't come home last night."
She gasped, almost dropping the apple she was eating. "W-what?"
"His aunt called my sister this morning to tell her that."
"H-have you tried calling him?"
I nodded weakly. "Y-yeah, but he doesn't answer..."
"I... I hope he'll be found soon…" Andrea awkwardly replied.
I gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm sure he's alright."
"Y-yeah... Ben is a... strong guy."
I giggled weakly at her clumsy attempt of being comforting. "H-he is strong, y-yeah…" I felt awkward complimenting myself like that. Was it narcissism? I wanted to change the topic, I wasn't comfortable talking about myself like this. "But... let's talk about something else, please.
"O-okay..."
"Thanks."
After that, Andrea and I tried some small talk even if it was a bit awkward: fashion, food, and music. Being with only Andrea as Sophie was a strange feeling. The fear from last night still lingered in my mind. The fact that I could still be discovered. But this feeling was slowly fading, and I relaxed, gleefully playing the role of Sophie. A role I played so well that no one was able to notice anything. It confirmed what I was thinking about last night, soon after I possessed Jane. I could in theory completely replace someone, living their lives as if it were my own. I was somewhat afraid of these abilities I suddenly got, considering what I was able to do...
After lunch, I parted ways with Andrea — who tried to comfort me more — and spotted Airi going to the bathroom. It was a great opportunity to possess her, so I followed her inside, trying not to be seen.
She was alone, washing her hands. Perfect… I approached her slowly, like a predator eyeing its prey.
She noticed me and frowned. "What are you doing? Don't come any closer, lesbo."
My grin widened. "What? Are you scared of me being in the same room as you?"
Before she could answer, I quickly came closer to her and pressed my lips against hers, kissing and silencing her. She was too surprised to react, and I transferred myself inside her.
I heard her gag loudly and felt myself fading away inside her, like before. I noticed that I didn't have any of Sophie's memories anymore. I still remembered that she loved me, and what I did while in control of her, but nothing else. It seemed that I instinctively learned how to navigate inside bodies now, as I managed to connect to her brain even faster than before.
Soon after, I was met with the familiar feeling of having a body again, although a girl's body yet again. Airi's long straight hair caressed my neck when I stood up, I could feel her soft thigh high socks covering my legs, her bra restraining her moderately sized breasts, even her panties covering my crotch.
"Hehe, payback's a bitch, isn't it?” I snickered in Airi’s slightly lower voice as I looked at my hands and my body; a body which felt really comfortable as well. Airi was a beautiful girl, one of the most beautiful girls in school, and knowing that I was her gave me some thrills.
But, I quickly remembered that Sophie was here and went to see if she was alright as I heard her groan. She fell onto the ground after I left her, landing on her ass.
I gently put my hand on her shoulder. "Sophie? Are you okay?"
"Y-yes…" She dizzily stood up, holding her forehead.
"Good! I was worried."
As soon as she regained her bearings and saw who was talking to her, she took a step back in shock. "A-Airi? W-why are you worried?"
"Because, you're my childhood friend of course!" I winked at her, making an expression that no one in the school had likely ever seen on Airi's face.
It took her a few seconds, but it suddenly clicked. "B-Ben?"
"Bingo!"
"W-why did you possess Airi of all people?"
I had a small grin on my face. "Because she's a bitch and she deserves it. I'll be a way better Airi than she ever was."
"I... I remember you thinking about possessing her or Chisa…" Sophie then muttered.
I was astonished to hear that.
"I... I have memories of what happened from this morning when you left my room. W-what's weird is that... I see myself doing and thinking everything..."
"Do you remember what happened after I got to class?" I asked.
"N-not really… This... This ability is really scary, Ben." She replied, visibly uncomfortable.
I took note of what she said. So, if I... ‘sink’ inside someone, they'll remember what I'm doing, and as if they did it themselves? Interesting.
I smiled to reassure her. "Yeah, it can be scary. But it's really useful, too. I can truly become someone else, without completely losing myself in the process."
"Be careful, please. I don't want you to become like Airi."
I giggled. "I won't, don't worry!"
Suddenly, Sophie's expression changed. "W-wait... I-I remember... thinking about... g-getting confessed to..."
"O-oh, right..."
"W-what does it mean? D-did you see my memories?" Sophie asked, staring at me.
I weakly nodded. "Y-yes…" I shyly fidgeted with my fingers, nervousness overcoming me... "I... found out about your... feelings for me… I'm sorry... I... I should have realised it sooner…" I then took her hand in mine. “I... I love you too, Sophie."
"Y-you... You do?" Sophie's eyes widened, as she was staring at me, her cheeks blushing intensely.
"Yes. I always loved you, but I didn't think you'd be interested in me." I admitted, looking down.
"B-Ben..."
"I know I'm in a girl's body, and the body of your bully, at that, but... Would you give me a chance still?"
After intensively observing me from head to toe, Sophie spoke. "I-it is... so surreal… Seeing Airi confessing to me..."
I laughed awkwardly, scratching my head. "I... I imagine… I'd understand if you refuse… A-as long as we stay friends, I-I don't-"
Sophie smiled brightly and interrupted me. "I... I'm willing to try..."
"R-really?"
"Yes. I don't mind you being her. It's gonna take a bit of time getting used to, but I really don't mind.”
I rushed towards her and hugged her, overjoyed by her answer. "Thank you, Sophie!"
Sophie sheepishly returned the hug. "H-hehe… Y-you should probably... avoid doing that here, though."
"R-right... I need to act like Airi would in public... Minus the ‘being an ass towards you’ part, of course."
“Y-yeah..."
Airi’s memories were starting to become accessible to me, and I could see how she viewed Sophie and some other students. "I'm slowly getting some of her memories... She really despised you, for some reason…"
I didn't know what that reason was but, at that moment, I didn't care. I was just euphoric about Sophie agreeing to date me and didn't want to bother with that yet.
"I really don't regret possessing her."
"Well, you'll be a better Student Council President!" Sophie joked.
I sighed, as it wasn't something I really was looking forward to. I never was the most dilligent person. "Oh, that... It's gonna be a chore… But, you're right. Unlike her, I will care about all my fellow students, not just those who compliment me."
“A-about that! I-isn't today the day the student council are meeting another school’s represensatives?" Sophie then blurted out.
"W-what?"
"I think they are supposed to discuss about a cross-school competition for next year. That's what Andrea told me."
Damn it, I completely forgot about that!
"I... I barely have any of her memories yet! And I don't think I can use my ability so soon!" I spoke quickly, starting to panic.
I had the feeling that I needed to have full access to her mind before being able to ‘sink’ inside it... Something that would take me hours, if my previous experience with Sophie was anything to go by…
"W-what should I do?" I asked Sophie, hoping for some advice.
Sophie shrugged awkwardly. "I-Improvise?"
I let out a deadpan laugh. "Very funny."
"Well, you don't have any other choice, I think. You can't really bail on a meeting like that."
I sighed, knowing that she was right. "Yeah... Wish me luck… Before I forget, you should add Airi's phone number, now. I remember it."
I grabbed Airi's phone from her pocket and unlocked it using her memories. The code she used was her father's birthday.
"I can't believe I'm adding her number…" Sophie muttered as she took out her own phone and wrote Airi's number down.
"You can just add it next to my old phone number. I don't have a phone anymore, after all."
I then remembered that these guys might have found my stuff. My bag burnt, but some items may have survived…
“You should probably delete my old number and block it! If these guys found my phone, it could lead to trouble for you and Jane!" Thinking about it made me shiver.
"R-right…" Sophie nodded and did just that, even if there was a sliver of hesitation in her body language.
"It's better if I lay low, I think. Call me Airi, from now on. At least in public. Wait for me after school, and we'll go see Jane to tell her the news. She deserves to know, as she was worried about me this morning."
Sophie looked down. "Alright. I saw that you really wanted to tell her, but you kept your promise. I'm feeling a bit remorseful, now..."
I tried to make a reassuring smile. "Hey, what matters is that we're going to tell her, right?"
She nodded. "Thanks, Ben." She then looked at me lovingly. “Now, go prepare yourself for the council meeting. Good luck!"
Adjusting the bow around my neck, I took a long breath. "I'm gonna need it, I think. Well, I'm on my way! See you later, Sophie!" I then gave Sophie a peck on the cheek. "And thank you for loving me and believing in me!"
Sophie blushed and cheerfully giggled. "What kind of girl would I be if I didn't help the person I love and with whom I grew up?"
Her words soothed my heart. She was so adorable... I really wanted to stay with her more, but I unfortunately had to fulfill Airi's duties for now. "Thank you. See you later, Sophie."
I left the bathroom to walk towards the room used for Student Council meetings. I only had a few memories of Airi, and none of them involved the council or today’s meeting… I didn't really have the time to look for more info as I was almost getting late, so I decided to do as Sophie said: Improvise.
How does the meeting go?
