Play it Safe

"25 Pounds over the Head 15 Reps!" Luke let out a toothy Grin.

But, Hannah matched it, smiling back even wider.

"Over the Head for you too but, 100 Pounds!"

"Wait! What?!"

Luke's smile quickly shattered!

"Ohhhhhhhhh!"

The call went out from the Crowd.

"I couldn't even do that even if I was at my best! This isn't Fair!"

Luke was flabbergasted!

"Refusing is poor form Luke!"

"Come on Luke your a big boy!"

"Nice Move Hannah!"

Hannah stuck her tongue out at Luke with a wink as she grabbed a set of 25s and started her reps. "Yup Luke! That's my bet! So do em, or forfeit the round! Thems the rules!"

"Goooooooo! Hannah!!!!!"

The Girl half of the crowd was ecstatic!

The boys far less so, as they watched there champion in disbelief.

Luke sucked in his chest though, and raised a fist towards his supporters. He couldn't give up now! He could do this!

"Luke! Luke Luke! Luke!"

The cheers rang out, as Luke grabbed onto each of the hundred pound weights.

"Ugh!"

Up they went. Good! He could at least lift them off the bench!

In a struggle he turned around and faced the crowd ready to lift, a mix of amusement and encouraging support.

"Ahhhh!"

Luke swung his arms alittle to get some momentum as he tried lifting the heavy weights. Bad form for sure! But who was gonna call him out on it!

Thus, as the weights started to move Luke put all his effort into lifting them. First they hit his chest, then rose above his shoulders, then Luke gave one last push as his arms flow high above his head.

"Yes!!!!!!!!!" All the Boys cried!

Jumping and hugging each other as Luke held his position.

"Hahahahaha!"

The cackle was loud, and piercing with Luke's eyes quickly darting to it's origin next to him, Hannah.

"Hahaha! Good Job Luke! Really!" She was rubbing a tear from her eye. "But you still need to do 14 more."

Shit... Were Luke's last thoughts as he felt his grip loosening.
