Planning For The Movie

Later that day, Patrick and Zack were having a meeting with their friends for the movie that they were going to be making for their project. It surprised them to see a person there that had obviously read one of their flyers that they had posted up around the town. It was the beautiful Heather Ravers from Riverside High school.

“Not that I’m complaining, but I didn’t expect anyone from Riverside to show up, so I am quite surprised.” Patrick said.

Heather gave them her patented smirk and said, “Well, there are quick a few people from Riverside that would be interested in being in your movie. We just thought it would be best to send one person to see if this is for real.”

“I get that. Well, as you can see, this is very real. We can set up parts for everyone that is here now, but if you could bring the rest of your friends and meet up with us as soon as possible, we can get them parts.” Zack said.

“Sounds good to me. Do you mind if I stay? I would like to see what you have in mind for everything.” Heather said.

“That’s fine. We can probably go on and give you your part so that you can be practicing your lines.” Patrick said.

“Perfect. I know our school’s don’t really get along, but I am willing to change that if you guys are willing.” Heather said.

“I don’t see anything wrong with that. So, why don’t you have a seat and the rest of our friends will be in within a few minutes.” Zack said and Heather nodded as she made her way to a chair and sat down.

Soon after that, Madison, Brandon, Rory, Sara, Asa, Mason, Lacey, Sean, Sasha, Paris, Chase, Kira, and Jerome walked into the room. Sharon was the first to narrow her eyes when she saw that Heather Ravers was joining the meeting.

“What is she doing here?” Sharon asked.

“She saw one of the flyers that we posted and she wanted to see if this was really real.” Patrick said.

“I’m not here to start anything. As I told Zack and Patrick, I am actually interested in this and some of my friends are as well.” Heather said to her rival cheerleader.

“Whatever.” Sharon said as she went and took a seat and people could tell that she was not happy.

“Okay, so we can get the meeting started now. We have kind of picked out parts for everyone. We hope that you are okay with that?” Patrick said as he started the meeting and all of his friends and Heather nodded.

“We decided that if there were already established relationships, we were going to break that up, so for the movie, Brandon and Rory and Mason and Lacey will be couples. The rest of us who will be in the movie will be given other parts. Are you guys fine with going with your real names or do you want something different?” Zack asked.

“I am fine with using my name since this is just for school. What do you guys think?” Brandon asked, looking at everyone else in the room and receiving nods from everyone.

“Looks like everyone agrees. So, as for specific parts, The four of you will be part of the main characters group, so you will have a lot of screen time. Zack and I will also be main characters. Once we really get to writing everything, we will know more about what is going on.” Patrick said.

“Would any of you girls want to be in the group of mean girls? Those are parts that we already kind of have set up.” Zack said.

“I can take care of that. I have a few girls that could play that role.” Heather said.

“How many are you talking about?” Patrick asked.

“Two or three other girls. Those girls and myself can be part of the mean girl clique.” Heather said.

“Hey! I want in on this too.” Sharon said.

“That’s fine Sharon. You can be one of the mean girls.” Patrick said and she smiled at him.

“Okay, so that looks like it is taken care of. Anyone want to be the geeks?” Zack asked, looking around the room.

“I think I can do that. It will expand my acting skills from drama club.” Madison said.

“Anyone else?” Patrick asked.

“I will go with that too.” Sara said. “It might be kind of fun to play someone different.”

“Okay, any of you guys want in on this?” Patrick asked.

Chase and Jerome both raised their hands, so that took care of those parts. That left Asa, Paris, and Kira without a part. Paris spoke up about something that she had in mind.

“What do you guys say about Kira and I being in a relationship in the movie?” Paris asked.

“Hmm. That is a good idea. That could be a fun dynamic. Would that be okay with you Kira?” Zack asked.

“Sure. I am good with whatever.” Kira said.

“Good. That just leaves Asa. How would you like to be in a relationship with me in the movie?” Patrick asked.

“That sounds perfect.” Asa said and Sara rolled her eyes at her best friend’s giddiness.

“What about Sean and Sasha?” Brandon asked.

“Well, Sean didn’t really want to be in the movie but he is willing to be behind the scenes. Sasha will be working behind the scenes as well. Now all we need to know is who would be coming from Riverside so we can make parts for them, other than the mean girls crowd, which is pretty much already set.” Zack said and everyone nodded.

“Good. So, it looks like things are coming together. We are willing to take input on things that we put into the movie. If any of you have any ideas, don’t be afraid to reach out to Patrick or myself.” Zack said.

“Do you have any ideas of who might be coming over from Riverside?” Patrick asked Heather and she nodded.

“Right now, from what I know, it would be Ashley Woodsen, Jace and Dana Holland, Whitney Diamond, Peter and Elsa Grayson, Demi McNamara, and Drew Murphy.” Heather said.

“I am assuming that Elsa, Whitney, and you are going to be the mean girls from Riverside, joining me?” Sharon asked.

“That’s right.” Heather said.

“Okay good. I think that Zack and I would need to meet with the rest of your group in a few days so that we can come up with parts for them. Do you think that you can meet with us somewhere?” Patrick asked Heather.

“Yeah, that shouldn’t be a problem. Let’s say in two days we will meet you guys here.” Heather said.

“Sounds good to me. We look forward to seeing everyone then.” Zack said and Heather nodded as she got up to leave.

“I will see you guys in two days. I hope you have something good lined up for my friends.” Heather said.

“We will do our best.” Patrick said.

Once Heather was gone, Patrick and Zack turned back to their friends. Sharon was glaring at the two of them. They just shook their heads because they knew what was coming.

“How can you guys put people from Riverside in your movie, especially Heather Ravers, Elsa Grayson, and Whitney Diamond?” Sharon asked.

“I don’t see that problem. It looks like they are trying to turn over a new leaf when it comes to putting this rivalry aside. Maybe you should try to as well.” Patrick said.

“I don’t trust them.” Sharon said.

“You don’t have too. All you have to do is do your part. We can give you another part if you don’t think you can work with them.” Zack said.

“No way am I giving up this part. I was looking forward to being in the mean girls group since you brought up the idea of this movie.” Sharon said.

“How did you know there was even going to be a mean girls group?” Patrick asked.

“All schools have them, so I figured you would want a group like that in your movie as well.” Sharon said with a shrug.

“That makes sense. So, are there any questions?” Zack asked.

“Nope, I think we are set.” Sara said.

“Good. Well, we will meet back up again when we have lines and everything made up for you guys.” Patrick said and every nodded as they all got up to leave the room that they were in.

Once everyone was gone, Zack and Patrick started to talk. “It looks like everything is shaping up well. I do wonder if Sharon is going to be a problem with those other three girls.” Patrick said.

“Yeah, that could be trouble. We will have to keep our eyes on things.” Zack said.

“Yeah, so when do you want to get together and start writing this thing?” Patrick asked.

“Maybe next week, after we have met with Heather’s friends and see what we can write up for them.” Zack said and Patrick nodded as the two of them made their way out of the room and soon after that went home.
