Plan of Attack

Rose takes a deep, heavy breath. "Well..." she taps her foot and scratches her neck, clearly unsure about the whole thing, "I think I'll just go there, y'know?"

Linda throws her hands up dismissively. "Sure, do what you want. You clearly have no idea about what he's willing to do to people. But yeah, walk right up to the guy that can **** you to be a willing, slobbering mess around his dick with a single look into your eyes. You go become a lifelong **** and I'll just be at home, trying to remember how reality is right now, just in case he, y'know, simply changes it through you!"

Rose steps back and nods. "Yeah, I know that you don't like him, or me, but I am still very appreciative of your help. Thank you for telling me what you know and thank you for being my fail-save person. If I could I would change your Truth in a way where you wouldn't be able to be influenced anymore."

Linda scoffs. "The fact that you can't dig around in my reality anymore is enough for me. Now please leave me alone so my adrenaline can calm the fuck down."

Rose feels incredibly bad. Linda had **** but to help her and is clearly scared of her. Still, she feels as though it must've been worth it if it means she gets to go to this man that gave her this life changing power and ask him some questions.
She now knows where he lives and she knows that Linda is incredibly scared, but doesn't seem to be influenced by him. Still, she seems to have an absolutely abysmal opinion of him, so Rose would need to be guarded.
Maybe he won't be able to change her Truth anymore because he'd already done so?
At least that's how it works with Rose's power.

Even if that wasn't the case, Rose keeps repeating it in her head as she moves back to the bus station to calm herself down. She thanked Linda again before she left, but Linda just cursed and sent her away.

Rose looks at her phone as she turns the corner to the street that Linda showed her.
It was a street full of mansions and villas, massive driveways and fancy cars.

"Of course he lives like this. It must've been very easy to manipulate himself into money." Rose scoffs, followed immediately by a train of thought about how she'd use her power to get money. Shaking the thought off, she walks to the mansion that showed the right number according to Linda's map.

It's a massive property, surrounded by a well groomed garden and a massive driveway with a fountain. It's barred off from the street by a large iron fence.
Rose takes a deep breath and rings the bell on the pillar holding the driveway gate.
For a moment, nothing happens. Then, the voice of a woman sounds through the speaker.

"This is the Doe Residence, how may I help you?"

Rose doesn't know why she expected him to answer, clearly he'd be a guy with somebody doing that for him. She clears her throat.
"Uhm... Hi, my name's Rose.. uhh I must speak with John Doe, if possible."

The woman's voice seems to carry a smile as she responds: "I'm afraid... Mr. Doe is preoccupied. ... Can I deliver... a message?"
The weird pauses in the woman's speech confuse Rose for a moment, but she catches herself. She technically would be at a job interview right now, she should glance past shit like this.

"Uhh sure, although it is important. Can you check if he has time for Rose Atkinson?"
Rose hopes that he'd seen her name just like she can see people's names in their Slices of Truth.

The woman starts a confused response, but is cut off by the intercom disconnecting. Instead, a buzzer rings out and the gate opens.
The voice of a man comes over the intercom once the buzzer falls slient.

"Come in Rose, feel right at home."
