Plainly Mountains

This barrier wasn’t the same as the previous one. John was standing in a wide open plains area, with some mountains in front of him. John saw nothing around him, so he headed for the mountains. As John walked, he came across a ruined village. While exploring it, he came upon its inhabitants, stacked on top of each other, on fire.

“Huh. I don’t smell anything, and I’m not breathing in the smoke. I guess this helmet filters the air I breathe. That’s pretty neat. Too bad I had to find out this way,” John said as he examined the burning pile. That was when he realized the pile was all women and girls. Not a single male of what looked to be elves could be found in the pile. Knowing he could do nothing, John looked through the village to see if he could find anything of use. Sadly, anything of use in the village had been destroyed in the fight that had happened here. So John moved on.

After an ungodly amount of walking, John finally made it to a trail that went up the mountains, so John decided to follow the path. The path was rough, at some points John nearly slipped off the path, but he kept going. Eventually the path lead to a mouth of a cave. From within the cave, John heard moans. He couldn’t tell if they were moans of passion or pain, but they were the only indication of something, so John followed them.

The cave was lit thanks to the various torches that were along the walls. The ground of the cave, strangely, looked like it was very rarely stepped on. As John continued on, the moaning became clear enough for John to realize they were moans of pleasure. They were coming from a large opening in the cave where there were apparently people.

“No, stop! I can’t take anymore!” came a harsh voice.

“Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!” came a feminine voice.

More and more voices came into earshot of John, with the men asking to stop while the females asked for more. John instinctively slowed down his pace as he came to the breadth of the opening. He crouched down and slowly made his way to the edge of a pit and saw something straight out of a hentai dojinshi: a pit full of men being **** by harpies. John could make out that the men were elves, most likely the missing male villagers. John knew there was no way to save the villagers without getting caught himself. John decided this was a lost fight and began to slowly back away from what he saw.

John gave the harpy a quick look up and down. She had skin with a slight purple hue to it, with her feet having feathers coming from her talons up to her knees, like knee high socks or boots, and the same was with her arms, that turned into feathered wings that ended with talons. John cast Observe to see what information he could gather.

“So, you’re called Idena?” John asked.

“H-how’d you know my name?” said a surprised Idena.

“Magic,” John said in a harsh tone.

“Oh a mage! You give us the best kids! I’m the daughter of a mage, actually. That’s what lets me use magic!” she said happily. John realized she had let her guard down at that time, so he quickly used Charge and Slam. He was about to cut off one of her wings when he was hit with a blast of wind that pushed him back and did some damage. Luckily, he stopped before he was pushed into the pit of sex. John realized that he could not fight with that pit as a possibility to fall into, but couldn’t go outside and give her the skies to fly in. So John used Charge one more time and then began to run past her and towards the entrance.

Once John was sure he was far enough away from the pit, he turned around and used Charge once again. The harpy was ready for him this time and countered with a gust of wind. The **** of Charge and the gust of wind battled for dominance until John’s skill eventually won out and he got to where Idena was. Idena had used the clash to move out of the way of the charge, and she cast a bolt of lightning at John, shocking him.

“Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!” was all John could get out as he suddenly felt paralyzed, his sword dropping to the ground as he fell onto his back, stiff as a board.
“Hehehe. I love the paralyzing effects of that lightning bolt, don’t you?! It makes it so it’s easy to get my prey!” she said as she walked towards John. That’s when John saw a new pop-up appear.

John took that to mean 1 out of 4 actions would not work. He quickly formulated a plan that he hoped would work, and only would take 2 actions. Please let these two actions work, John thought to himself as Idena moved ever so close to him.
