Chapter 12 by Spioch Spioch

What PoV do you Follow?

Pets are ready for the walk! [Pets' PoV]

As Nick gathers the dishes pets get ready to go outside. After attaching leashes to pets' collars he walks them towards the patio doors and opens the door for them

"Alright, walk time!. Let's take it nice and slow, yeah?"

Dad's PoV

I truly appreciate our son moving slowly. Over the years of the office job my body deteriorated and I'm not as nimble as before, and Anna - despite being in much better shape - is not really that used to moving on her knees.

"I really need to get back in shape" I think as we are lead outside by our owner. We walk slowly learning the terrain and adjusting our postures.

I follow the tugs of the leash initially, but as he allow us to pass him, while he holds the patio door, I run out into the garden.

It's quite big and full of both grass patches as well as some small architecture, there's two ponds, one with the waterfall, some bigger trees giving out nice shade, decent rock garden, all accessible for pets.

Gardeners sure did a good job here.

I stop for a second to admire the view, then look where Anna wants to go, then follow her as she moves.

Mom's PoV

I take careful steps as we go out, honestly I did not wear this suit for years now - and I only did once. Plus I was few stones lighter then I did it last time too. I try to follow Martin and get into the rhythm of walking on all fours.

This house is still bit new to me - I only been here few times after we bought it - before we always only rented the vacation houses. Plus the garden was just redone this spring, so it's the first time I'm seeing it in all it's glory.

As such I take few moments to admire the botany of it, and I notice Martin stops besides me.

I take a quick look back and see my son, behind us - and I shake my tail a bit playfully at him. I smile under the mask as I see him blush. He's so cute!

I still was not at all sure why I decided to go with it, it's not like I thought of my son in any sexual way - it's just that weird feeling I got in the pit of my stomach as Martin explained his plan, and then It was to late to back off - or so I keep telling myself.

I strut forward as he tries to catch up with us. I muffle a chuckle as when he quickly averts his gaze, and pretends to be admiring the landscaping instead of looking at us when I turn back my head.

I do admire the landscaping though - especially since I'm much closer to it. The ground is nice and flat, the grass was cut perfectly. Martin must have scheduled a visit from the gardener last week. I gently try to pull him into the direction of the water fountain - I want to see it up close.

Reader's perspective
I'm going to do a small experiment and alternate Nick's and pets' perspectives in the chapters from now on. You can follow both perspectives by clicking first of the pair of links, or owner's or pets' perspective exclusively, by using second. Might be a fun way to read the story, and cut it's considerable length in half if you're only interested in reading one side :)
