Chapter 9

What is the extent of your willingness?
Perhaps not "anything"
"Okay, fine." You retract, pulling your previous statement in "so I'm not willing to do absolutely anything. Bedding you is off the table, I should think, but there must be some other kind of trade we can make"
Ezra chuckles to himself "That's about the answer I suspected, and good for it. I've not been right physically for some time. Though I would love the opportunity to be with one so rare and beautiful as yourself, it would be short and end in frustration, all things said. To the matter at hand though, you are correct. There is something that I think you could do for an old hermit like me."
"Yes, what is it?"
"A bandit snuck into my tower in the middle of the night and stole my amulet. I can't get it back on account of age, so I grew those thornbushes out to stop them from returning. It's powerful and very precious to me. He and his gang hold themselves up in a cave not too far from here. If you can get that back from them, I'll provide whatever help you need."
"How do you expect I do that?" You ask, arms crossed
"I imagine **** will be applied, profusely. Don't worry, your blind faith and stubbornness will guide you to victory. Of that I'm certain. If that doesn't work, you can use your excellent body of persuasion."
"But I-" You stammer,
"I'm sorry, but that's the deal miss. You help me, I help you, and I think I've helped you enough already" Ezra motions for you to turn around. Confused you still do so, find yourself magically wearing new robes that were a far sight better than what was destroyed, along with a large hammer and a buckler shield.
"Anything you need to do, you should be able to do with all that. I'll even protect you from the thornbushes on your way out, now get out of my home." Ezra waved you away, and in the blink of an eye, you find yourself outside again, at the base of the tower. You're unsure how much of this is actual help and how much of this is hazing, but if he needs that amulet so badly, you'll go and get it. True to his word, Ezra makes the wall of thorns disappear as you leave. He did not give precise directions to the bandit camp, so you have to wander a bit along the other side of the woods, as they come against the mountainside. You hear the bandits before you see the cave, and their raucous nature draws you closer. They suspect nothing and their guard is too drunk, joining in whatever the celebration is to be of any use. Sneaking behind him, a good swing against his head with your hammer is enough to bring him down. The adrenaline rush through you is new, and causes you to act rashly. Charging in, barely armed and greatly outnumbered, your foolhardy attack is hardly that of a sister of the cloth; more similar to a barbarian in a bloodrage.
Or, a demon.
Still, despite being outnumbered, you're able to beat the bandits back in the cramped cave. The ArchDeacon had seen it fit to train you and the other sisters in varying degrees of self defense; it was slightly against the code of Phoenica to take up arms, but he saw it as vital to be able to protect others in an emergency. The last bandit down, you have to square yourself, realizing that this was no emergency and you're not protecting anyone; this was one wrong turn to correct another. You feel the creeping of guilt crawl up your spine, but you're able to dismiss it easily enough, justifying that these are all hardened criminals who have likely done far worse than steal an amulet from an old man. You're doing society a favor by doing this...probably. You take the amulet and look over it in your hands. It's gold with unfamiliar arcane runes etched around the centerpiece, an impossibly large diamond, polished to a mirror like shine. Unsure of its purpose, you put in a pocket of your robe and make your way back to Ezra's tower in a hurry. Thankfully, his magical wall was still dissipated by the time you returned, the sun having begun to set in the later afternoon. The fox, his familiar you guess, follows you up the stairway. You find him drinking his potion, pouring over an enormous tome.
"You have the amulet I take it?"
"Yes Ezra" You reply shortly, curious how he knows so suddenly
"You didn't put it on to figure out what it does, it would seem."
"Why do you think that?" Your arms cross in a huff
"You people of faith don't tend to be the curious type. Fergus was a rare exception, in my experience. Also, if you did, I think you likely would have run off with it?"
"Are you calling me a thief, wizard?"
"Hardly, cleric" He replies, still not looking from his book "But it would give you something you'd want, desperately. Try it on"
Suspicious of his machinations and intentions, you slowly take it out and put the amulet on. A short flash comes from the amulet as it touches your neck, and you see it's affect in the mirror. You're completely human now! Your horns are gone, as is your tail. Your reddish skin is now a very soft white, your curly jet black hair is now a long, soft blonde. Feeling between your legs, even your huge demon cock is gone.
"This is my final offer Demetria, daughter of a demon-lord. Take that amulet and go make a different life for yourself. Find some way to keep yourself busy and happy. I'll even give you a few gold coins to get your feet under you. Or, give me the amulet, I'll help you continue your journey, which will lead to continued misery and sorrow, but I'm sure you'll find the answers you're looking for, though you may not like them when you get there."
