Percy's Mistake

"You did what?" Piper yelled at Percy. She couldn't believe what she'd just heard, "You idiot!"

"Yeah," Miranda agreed, "What the fuck dude?"

"I know! I know! I just...I hated lying to her." Percy said.

"Lying? Who cares if I flirted with her for the first 5 minutes. Your whole relationship has just been you!" Piper said.

Percy shook his head, "You told her my birthday was December 26th. Plus, she kept telling people how we met."

"So you tell her you lied about that. You don't tell her about the magic body swapping device you have access too!" Piper said angrily.

"Well...I did," Percy said, sounding rather dejected, "Are you going to help...or not..."

"Of course I'm going to help," Piper said, "I'm just going to think you're an idiot while I do so."

"Yeah. We got your back," Miranda said, "But you'll owe us. Big time."

The three of them finally arrived at Amber's. Percy knocked on the door. It took a minute, but eventually Amber opened it. She eyed the two women behind him, "Which one was it?"

Percy nodded at Piper, "That's Piper. She's the one-"

Amber cut him off, "Who picked me up?" Amber looked Piper up and down, "Shame. I'd have preferred big tits over there."

"Amber that's..." Percy sighed, "No. You're just trying to get a rise out of me. It's fine."

"Wait, so you just...like...believe him?" Piper asked.

Amber gave Piper a confused expression, "Percy is a terrible liar. Every time I brought up our birthday's he'd start sweating. Sure magic is pretty unbelievable, but I at least believe that Percy thinks it's real. Well, come on it. Let's see this camera."

The four of them went into her living room and sat down. Piper took out the camera, they'd discussed how to prove it worked already, "So if you take a photo of someone like this..." She aimed it at Miranda and snapped a photo. She took out the image carefully, "Then as soon as you touch the photo..." She tapped it and transformed into Miranda, "Poof. You're that person."

"Holy shit." Amber said. "Can I try?"

Piper hesitated, but then passed it to Amber. She turned to Percy and took his photo, then immediately tapped the image to turn herself into him.

"Wow! I'm a dude!" Amber said.

Percy cringed, "It's a little weird..."

"Then join in," Miranda said. She pulled out a stack of poloroids, "Pick your poison."

Percy looked down, "When did you take these?"

"On the way home. What? It's good to have backups." Miranda explained.

"Go ahead Percy." Amber said.

He sighed, then tapped the closest one. In seconds he was Piper. "Happy?"

Amber bit her lip, a very strange look on Percy's body, "No. Let's do this..."

She was already used to it apparently and quickly reverted them both back to their original selfes, took their photos, and swapped again. Percy now looked like Amber and Amber like Percy.

"That's better. I don't mind if you touch my boobs. But it's kinda weird if you are touching your female best friend's boobs." Amber explained.

"I wouldn't. I wasn't!" Percy said quickly.

"Well anyway," Piper said, "You see how it works? Percy's a good guy. Just an idiot sometimes. I'm sorry for deceiving you, but I swear I only interacted with you the one time as Percy. The rest has been 100% him. If we're done here..." She reached for the camera.

Amber yanked it away, "Not so fast..." She looked down at the table, then quickly swept all the poloroids up and shoved them in a bag.

"Hey!" Piper stood up, "That's mine!"

Amber grinned, "Is it? You know Percy isn't a body builder or anything but I can feel it. I'm so much stronger now. Can you really take it back?"

"Ambs...what are you doing?" Percy asked.

"Nothing much," Amber said, "They messed with me. Now I'm messing with them. I'll let them swap back...tomorrow."

"No, Amber. You can't. And what about me? And you?" Percy asked.

"I'm kind of curious what sex is like from the other side. Wanna try it?" Amber grinned at Percy.

Percy turned red, "S-sex? Like this? N-no. I'm, I'm not ready for that."

"Then let's just make out." Amber said, "I want to feel what an erection is like."

"And you can," Piper interjected, "As soon as you give the camera back."

"I told you. Tomorrow," Amber said, "Now get out of my apartment."

"Why you..." Miranda growled and then lunged for the camera. Unfortunately Miranda was now in Piper's rather frail body. Amber had been right, Percy wasn't a body builder, but he was far stronger than Piper. Amber easily pushed Miranda back.

Piper went around the coffee table to help. The two of them trying to get the bag from Amber, "Percy help!" She cried.

Percy seemed stuck, unsure of who to help or what to do. "I...I..."

Then disaster struck. The strap on Amber's bag snapped. The 3 of them lost their footing and fell over while the camera soared out of the bag.

Percy dove for it, trying to catch it.

He missed.

The camera smashed onto the ground, shattering into dozens of pieces.

"NO!" Piper screamed. She got up and ran over, picking up the pieces. Unfortunately it wasn't something that could just be put together.

Miranda grabbed the bag and pulled out the remaining polaroid's, "They're all blank..." She said. She started to rip them one by one. When she ripped the final polaroid she stared at Piper, "That was the last one..."

The implication was clear. They were stuck.

Piper looked at herself in the mirror, "This is really weird..."

The woman standing beside her chuckled, then put a hand on Piper's shoulder, "Only if you let it be. Piper...I'm so happy."

"Are you? I'm sure you'd rather be with Miranda right now..." Piper said sadly.

She shook her head, "No. You're my daughter too. I feel so honoured to share this with one. I'll see Miranda soon, but right now I'm here for you."

Piper smiled at her, "Thanks Judy."

Judy shook her head, "What's with the Judy? I told you. Call me Mom."

Piper laughed, "Ok. Mom. Thanks," She looked at herself in the mirror one more time, "Ok. I think I'm ready."

"You look beautiful. Let's go." Judy took Piper's arm and escorted her out of the room.

Piper smiled as she walked along with Judy, recalling the long journey to this point. After the fiasco with Amber years ago they'd tried everything to restore themselves to their original bodies. They'd had dozens of shops try to repair the camera and scoured the web buying up old polaroid from all over the world. Nothing had worked and eventually they realized they just had to adapt to their new realities.

For Amber and Percy that had been hard. They might have been dating, but their relationship was still new, too new for that sort of strain. Amber might've been excited about trying sex as a man, but she'd never intended to stay that way. And Percy had only ever become a woman against his own desires. They lasted a little more than a year before their eventual breakup. Their...condition...had kept them as close friends though. They didn't want to lose touch with their original families and so even though their sexual relationship ended, their friendship eventually grew even stronger. As of now they were both single, but Percy kept gushing about a cute girl at his office so maybe there was still hope for him.

Piper and Miranda had had an easier time. They had already spent a lot of time swapped, and they were both girls. Plus Miranda's parents knew all about it. They started spending so much time together that eventually it seemed like they were attached at the hip. It was Miranda who had pushed their relationship to the next level. Piper had been feeling an odd sort of tension between them for a while, but it was only when Miranda suddenly kissed her that she placed it as sexual tension. From there things had moved quickly, although it had taken a little bit of effort to bring Miranda's family sans Judy on board with their relationship. In the end they turned out to be a whole lot more loyal than Miranda had thought. When their church refused to host the wedding, Miranda's parents had simple left without a second thought.

And now...Piper looked up and saw her standing there. Miranda, in Piper's original body. She'd made it her own though, putting on a bit of muscle, growing out her hair, and just carrying herself in a whole different way. She was standing beside the official wearing a crisp white tuxedo. She looked gorgeous.

Judy handed Piper off to Dan, "Take good care of her." She said.

"I will." Dan said. He smiled at Piper and offered her arm, then they walked down the aisle together.

A few minutes later she stood there, holding Miranda's hand, as they listened to the officiant. He finished and they looked into each others eyes. "I do." They said simultaneously.

"Then you may kiss the bride."

Piper and Miranda leaned towards each other and their lips met. They never tried to undo the camera again.
