How are they going to start the next day?

Peaceful walk along the beach

Chapter 3.1

Tuesday

Tuesday morning saw a bright sun shining down on the picturesque beach resort. Tim and Milena, still recovering from the previous night's festivities, decided to take a peaceful walk on the beach. They held hands, feeling the cool waves lap at their feet.

"I'm glad we came here," Milena whispered, resting her head on Tim's shoulder. "This is just what we needed."

Tim smiled, nodding. "It's been wonderful. And last night was... interesting."

Milena laughed, remembering their time at Marcus's club. "I know! I never thought I'd have so much fun in a club. It was nice of Marcus to make us feel so comfortable."

They sat down on the soft sand, watching the horizon and enjoying each other's company. However, their solitude was soon interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps.

"Morning, you two," came Marcus's voice, accompanied by his signature grin. He was jogging, sweat glistening on his muscular form, and stopped by them. "Thought I'd find you here. Mind if I join?"

Tim, slightly taken aback but not wanting to seem rude, nodded. "Of course."

Marcus sat down next to Tim, making a point to put some distance between him and Milena. "It's a great day for a jog. How did you two find the club last night?"

"It was... different," Tim replied, still feeling out of his element. "But we had fun. Thanks for making us feel welcome."

Marcus nodded, pretending to be engrossed in the view. "You know, Tim, I've been thinking. I've got this boat, and I thought we could all go for a little trip on the water later. Maybe do some fishing, have a barbecue on an isolated beach. What do you think?"

Milena looked at Tim, intrigued by the idea. "That sounds lovely."

Tim hesitated but seeing Milena's enthusiasm replied, "Sure, sounds like a plan."

Marcus clapped Tim on the back, making an effort to build rapport. "Great! I think you'll love it. And don't worry, I'll ensure it's not as loud or overwhelming as the club."

They continued chatting, with Marcus directing most of his conversation towards Tim. They spoke about hobbies, their interests, and even work. Marcus, sensing an opportunity, began discussing the challenges of running nightclubs and subtly hinted at possible ventures where Tim could be involved.

"Tim, with your business acumen and my experience in the nightlife industry, I think we could do some great things together," Marcus suggested, his tone genuine.

Tim, feeling a little more at ease with Marcus now, nodded thoughtfully. "That's an interesting proposition. I'll have to think about it."

Marcus smiled, realizing he was making inroads. "Take your time. And remember, this vacation is all about relaxation and fun. Let's keep the business talk for another day."

As the morning progressed, Deshawn and Susan joined the group, and plans for the boat trip were solidified. Marcus, always the planner, ensured everything was in place, from the boat's preparations to the food and drinks.

Susan, sensing an opportunity, whispered to Milena, "I told you Marcus is a good guy. He's really making an effort with Tim."

Milena nodded, appreciating Marcus's gesture but still slightly cautious. "I can see that. He's been very kind."

Tim, feeling a renewed sense of confidence, added, "He's been great.”

The beach's shimmering sand, framed by the azure expanse of the sea, provided the perfect backdrop for a morning of bonding. Marcus, not one to waste an opportunity, continued his subtle strategy of getting closer to Milena.

"So, Tim," Marcus began, "I heard there's a small golf course nearby. Interested in playing a round tomorrow?"

Tim, who had never been good at golf, hesitated. "I haven't played in ages. I'm not sure if I'd be any good."

Marcus chuckled. "That's the fun of it! We can make it a friendly game. Besides, it would be a good opportunity for us to get to know each other better."

Milena, noticing Tim's apprehension, intervened, "Oh, come on Tim, it could be fun! And I'll cheer you on from the sidelines."

Marcus shot her an appreciative glance, while internally smirking at the opportunity to have her close by. "See, even Milena agrees."

Deshawn, seeing an opportunity to join in, added, "Why don't we make it a foursome? Susan, you can team up with me."

Susan smirked, "Sounds like a plan. Milena and I can give you boys a run for your money!"

The group laughed, with Marcus subtly moving closer to Milena. As they chatted and laughed, a beach vendor approached with a tray of fresh coconut water. Marcus, ever the opportunist, bought a round for everyone.

Handing one to Milena, he remarked, "You should try this, it's very refreshing."

Milena smiled politely, "Thank you, Marcus. That's very thoughtful of you."

As they sipped on the refreshing coconut water, Marcus continued his subtle tactics. "You know, Milena, I heard there's a lovely spa nearby. Why don't you and Susan go for a pampering session while the boys play golf? My treat."

Susan's eyes lit up with excitement. "That sounds fantastic! What do you say, Milena?"

Milena, although appreciative of the gesture, replied hesitantly, "It sounds lovely, but I'd rather spend time with Tim."

Marcus, feigning surprise, responded, "Of course, I completely understand. Just wanted you to have options."

Tim, noticing Milena's discomfort, squeezed her hand reassuringly. "It's okay, love. If you want to go to the spa, you should. I'll be okay."

Milena smiled gratefully at Tim, "Thank you, but I'd rather be with you."

Marcus, realizing he had to change tactics, remarked, "Well, if you ever change your mind, just let me know. I know the manager there, and I can get you a special discount."

Milena nodded politely, "Thank you, Marcus."

The conversation drifted to other topics, with Marcus continually trying to steer it towards his interests and subtly trying to highlight his wealth, success, and connections. Susan and Deshawn, playing their part, continued to sing Marcus's praises, painting him as a successful entrepreneur and all-around good guy.

As the morning sun climbed higher, the group decided to head back to the resort for brunch. Marcus, always one to take charge, led the way, making sure to walk close to Milena.

Tim, not wanting to be left out, made an effort to strike up a conversation with Marcus. "So, Marcus, I've been meaning to ask. How did you and Deshawn become friends?"

Marcus, seizing the opportunity, replied, "Oh, we go way back. We met in college and bonded over our love for nightlife. We started our first club together and the rest is history."

Tim nodded, impressed. "It must be interesting to run a club. I've always been fascinated by the nightlife industry."

Marcus, realizing this was his chance to draw Tim in, replied enthusiastically, "It's a challenging industry, but the rewards are worth it. As I said, maybe one day, you and I could collaborate on a project."

Tim, flattered, replied, "I'll think about it."

Marcus grinned, "Take your time. In the meantime, let's enjoy this vacation."

The group finally reached the resort and headed to the brunch area. As they settled down to eat, Milena leaned into Tim, whispering, "I love you."

Tim smiled, squeezing her hand, "I love you too."

Marcus, observing the exchange, realized that while he may have made some inroads, he still had a long way to go. He was, however, undeterred, knowing that every challenge only made the game more exciting.

And as the morning drew to a close, he felt confident that he was one step closer to achieving his goal.

Are they going to go on a boat trip with Marcus?
