The ever present threat of punishment understandably makes some women **** to let their hair down. There are plenty of staid coffee mornings and book clubs for young ladies scared to earn male disapproval for more hedonistic behaviour. However, that same threat is exactly why other women feel the need to relax especially acutely and try to forget for a few hours their constant vulnerability. Besides this, if a man invites a girl for a night out at a club, she would be very brave to suggest a quiet meal in, instead.

At a party or other social event, females are obviously expected to exhibit the usual politeness and respect, but there's nothing wrong with having fun. In a restaurant, raucous laughter and loud voices might see a girl taken over another diner's knee, but at a karaoke bar, such things are part of the atmosphere. On the dancefloor of a nightclub, you'd be forgiven for thinking the discipline rules had been temporarily suspended, although if you were to step outside, you'd likely find a handful of ladies on their knees or grabbing their ankles, being reminded of their responsibilities.

It might be surprising that discipline rules don't stop women getting drunk, but it turns out that anyone who thinks the pain of a hangover is a price they're willing to pay for their relaxation is similarly willing to risk a spanking or sex punishment. Moreover, a little booze makes such consequences significantly easier to bear! Of course, most disciplinarians realize this, so many will defer a punishment until the morning after—and woe betide any girl who misses an appointment for a next day chastisement because she overslept.
