Chapter 12

What's next?
Party Time
As you and Liam approached the sorority house, the warm glow of string lights cast a welcoming hue over the front yard. You could already hear the low hum of music and faint chatter from inside. It wasn’t a massive rager—more of a smaller, intimate gathering. Perfect for what you needed tonight.
The butterflies you normally would’ve felt fluttering in your stomach were strangely absent. Thanks to Hermes’ magic, Luna walked confidently, her hips swaying naturally with each step in those heels, while you—the real you, Lucas—could only watch from the backseat of your own mind.
“Alright,” you whispered to Liam as you reached the front door, “we just need to act like you’re supposed to be here. Blend in.”
Liam looked a little more nervous than you’d expected, but he nodded. “Yeah, I got this.”
As you stepped inside, the atmosphere hit you immediately—warm, welcoming, and buzzing with energy. A handful of guys from the fraternity lingered by the kitchen, a few girls from the sorority were lounging around on couches, and some others were standing around talking. It was casual, relaxed, but just vibrant enough to feel like a real party.
And there, leaning against the kitchen island, was Ashley. She spotted you instantly, her eyes lighting up as she waved you over. “Luna! You made it!”
You wove your way through the small crowd, pulling Liam along behind you. The moment you reached her, Ashley enveloped you in a warm hug. The scent of her perfume washed over you as she laughed, pulling back to take in your outfit. “Oh my God, you look so cute tonight!”
You gave her a playful twirl, the crop top rising just slightly as you spun, before settling back into place. “Thanks, babe! You look amazing too!”
Ashley tilted her head and smiled at him, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Well, aren’t you lucky to have such a fun sister to bring you to a party like this?” She winked at you, and you felt Luna’s confidence bubbling up as you winked back.
Liam, playing his part, chuckled and shoved his hands into his pockets. “Yeah, super lucky.”
Before long, you’d all settled into the rhythm of the party. The small group of girls gathered around, sipping drinks and laughing at one another’s stories. Luna slipped into the conversation with ease, chatting about everything from classes to makeup tips, and of course, some of the juicier details of campus life. You could feel Liam staying close, but he hung back just enough, trying to blend in and avoid too much attention from the frat guys.
At one point, Ashley grabbed your arm and pulled you closer to her, lowering her voice conspiratorially. “So, what did you think of Michelle yesterday? She’s got a reputation, but you handled her like a pro.”
“Oh, I was nervous at first,” you said, leaning in a little closer to match her tone. “But once I got into it, it was easy. She’s intense, but I could tell she liked me.”
Ashley giggled. “She totally did. And she doesn’t just _like _anyone. You know that, right?”
You nodded, feeling Luna’s excitement build. “Yeah, I got that impression.”
As the party continued, the conversation drifted naturally into more risqué territory. Drinks flowed, and the topics got saucier. You found yourself huddled in a group with Ashley and a few other girls from the sorority, laughing about hookup stories and debating the hottest positions.
“I’m telling you,” Ashley was saying, “reverse cowgirl is underrated. You get all the control, and the view? Chef’s kiss.”
One of the girls giggled, taking a sip from her red cup. “Right? But have you ever tried it on a couch? It’s a game-changer.”
You jumped in, Luna effortlessly taking control of the conversation. “Oh, totally. But the key is finding the right angle. Otherwise, it’s just awkward.”
The girls laughed, clearly warming up to you even more. Liam, who was still hanging back but close enough to hear, shot you a look that said, Are you really talking about this?
But you shrugged it off internally. This was Luna’s territory. And right now, she was thriving.
As the night wore on, you noticed Ashley getting more and more comfortable around you. At one point, she leaned in close, her voice dropping to a more secretive tone. “So, you know how Michelle’s... intense, right?”
You nodded, trying to keep your curiosity subtle.
“Well,” she continued, glancing around to make sure no one was eavesdropping, “there’s more to it than that. She has this... way of getting people to do things. Like, she’ll set up these... situations, especially with the inner circle. Not everyone’s in on it, but I’ve heard some crazy stories. And a lot of them? They’re, uh, sexual.”
You raised an eyebrow, pretending to be surprised. “Really? Like what?”
Ashley hesitated for a second, clearly debating whether to share more. But eventually, she leaned in even closer, her breath warm against your ear. “I heard she once orchestrated this whole thing with two of the girls and a guy from the frat. It was all under the radar, but apparently, she was the one pulling the strings. She just... knows how to get people to do what she wants. It’s like she thrives on it.”
You suppressed the shiver that ran down your spine. This was exactly what you needed. A glimpse into Michelle’s influence, her control over the inner workings of the sorority.
Ashley pulled back, her eyes searching yours for a reaction.
You played it cool, Luna smiling knowingly. “That’s wild. Guess I’ll have to watch out for her then.”
Ashley grinned, clearly pleased with your response. “Oh, totally. But if she’s inviting you to stuff? That means she likes you."
The party had hit its comfortable rhythm. Laughter and music blended together as the **** kicked in and loosened everyone’s tongues. You were settled in with Ashley and a couple of other girls on a plush couch, the conversation flowing effortlessly between you all.
Suddenly, Michelle appeared at the edge of the room, her presence commanding even without her trying. The moment Ashley spotted her, she nudged you excitedly, eyes gleaming. “Oh my God, Luna, Michelle’s coming over!”
Your stomach fluttered—not with nerves, but with anticipation. Luna was more than ready for this. And the closer Michelle got, the more Luna’s confidence surged.
Michelle sauntered over, drink in hand, her eyes scanning the group before landing on you and Ashley. “Mind if I join?” she asked, though it was clear she didn’t need an invitation. She was Michelle. She joined any conversation she wanted.
Ashley slid over, making room for her, and you found yourself squeezed between the two girls. “Of course! Sit down!” Ashley chirped, already acting like you three were best friends.
Michelle’s gaze flicked to you, her eyes sharp and assessing for a moment. Then she smiled, a little smirk that felt like a private acknowledgment. “Luna, I’m glad to see you’re here. I was hoping we’d run into each other.”
“Oh, totally,” you replied, channeling Luna’s charm effortlessly. “I wouldn’t miss it.”
Ashley immediately launched into conversation, easing any awkwardness with her bubbly energy. “So, Michelle, we were just talking about, like, craziest hookup stories. You have to have some wild ones, right?”
Michelle raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eye. “Oh, you have no idea.” She leaned back, getting comfortable between you and Ashley. “Let’s just say... the frat guys? Not as innocent as they seem.”
That got a round of giggles from the group, and you felt yourself leaning in, eager to hear more.
“What’s the craziest thing you’ve done with one of them?” you asked, your voice laced with curiosity. The question was bold, but Luna knew how to walk the line.
Michelle’s eyes gleamed as she swirled her drink. “Well, there was this one time… senior year, one of the guys had a thing for me. It started off as just a normal hookup, but then... he got this idea in his head that he wanted to try something different. Let’s just say it involved a lot of tequila, whipped cream, and... creative use of the kitchen counter.”
The group erupted into laughter, and even you found yourself giggling along, though you felt a strange heat rising in your chest. Not discomfort—far from it. It was excitement, like you were absorbing the wild energy from Michelle’s story.
“Whipped cream?” Ashley laughed, shaking her head. “That’s classic.”
“I mean, it was a mess,” Michelle admitted with a smirk, “but fun? Definitely.”
The conversation continued, shifting naturally from one wild sex story to the next. Ashley chimed in with a tale about an impromptu shower hookup that went hilariously wrong when the water turned freezing. Another girl shared her own misadventures involving a costume party and a guy dressed as a fireman.
Then, Michelle turned her gaze back to you, a mischievous glint in her eye. “So, Luna, what about you? You must have some stories.”
You hesitated for a split second, but Luna didn’t miss a beat. “Oh, I’ve had my fair share,” you said, leaning into the playful energy. “But let’s see... there was this one time, sophomore year of high school. A guy I was seeing—super hot, by the way—wanted to try something different. We ended up in the backseat of his car, in a random parking lot, and... yeah, let’s just say we didn’t exactly check to see if anyone was watching.”
Michelle’s eyebrows shot up, impressed. “In public? That’s bold.”
“I mean, it was kind of a rush, to be honest,” you said with a grin, fully immersed in the conversation now. Luna was thriving, and you could feel Michelle’s eyes on you, not judging, but intrigued.
As the conversation shifted again, it went from sex stories to more personal, feminine topics. Makeup, style tips, and then, naturally, the topic of body image.
“I’ve always felt like it’s such a power move,” Ashley said, gesturing to her curves. “Owning your body, you know? Like, yeah, I’ve got big boobs, and yeah, I love showing them off.”
Michelle laughed, nodding. “Right? It’s all about confidence. If you walk into a room like you know you look hot, everyone else just falls in line.”
You found yourself nodding along, even as a strange tension ran through you. Luna was all about this conversation, but somewhere deep down, Lucas was quietly squirming.
“What about you, Luna?” Michelle asked, tilting her head toward you. “You’ve got that cute, petite thing going on. Do you ever feel like it’s hard to own it?”
You hesitated for just a second, but then Luna took control again, smoothing over the internal discomfort. “Honestly? Yeah, sometimes. But I’ve learned that it’s all about how you carry yourself. I might not have the biggest boobs, but I know how to work with what I’ve got.”
Michelle smiled, a genuine, approving look crossing her face. “That’s the spirit.”
Ashley, who had been sipping her drink, suddenly perked up. “You know what I love about you, Luna? You just _get i_t. Like, you’re not afraid to talk about all this stuff, and you totally fit in. It’s like you’ve always been one of us.”
Michelle nodded in agreement. “I’ve gotta say, I wasn’t sure about you at first. But you’ve definitely got the right vibe. We need more girls like you around.”
You felt a flush of pride at the compliment, Luna soaking it in. This was working. You were in.
As the hour passed, the three of you became a trio, locked in conversation. Nothing was off-limits. You talked about favorite sex positions—Ashley swore by doggy style, while Michelle argued that cowgirl gave the best control. You debated the best makeup brands for long-lasting lipstick, shared horror stories about bad dates, and laughed about awkward hookups that ended before they even started.
At one point, Ashley pulled out her phone, showing the group a meme about makeup disasters, and the conversation veered into the trials of perfecting the cat-eye or dealing with foundation that oxidized the wrong way.
“I swear,” Michelle groaned, “finding the right foundation shade is harder than finding a decent guy on this campus.”
“No kidding,” you said, laughing. “And don’t even get me started on winged eyeliner. It’s like a gamble every time.”
Michelle leaned in closer, her hand resting on your thigh as she giggled. “Okay, but you’ve got it down pretty well, I gotta say. That liner? On point.”
You smiled, feeling a surge of warmth at her approval. “Thanks! It took a lot of practice.”
By now, the three of you were fully locked in. The rest of the party faded into the background as you, Ashley, and Michelle formed a tight little group, sharing everything from sex advice to style tips. Michelle, surprisingly, seemed to let her guard down more and more as the night went on, her sharp edges softening.
It wasn’t long before she leaned in, lowering her voice conspiratorially. “You know, Luna, there’s... a lot that goes on in this house. You might’ve heard some rumors, but there’s way more to it.”
You felt your heart race. This was it. The door was opening.
“Like what?” you asked, keeping your tone casual, though Luna’s curiosity was palpable.
Michelle exchanged a glance with Ashley before smirking. “Let’s just say... some of the girls here? We know how to have fun. And I don’t mean just normal, run-of-the-mill fun. There are... certain traditions.”
Ashley nodded, biting her lip like she was holding back a juicy secret.
“Traditions?” you asked, leaning in further, your interest piqued.
Michelle’s eyes sparkled. “Let’s just say, you might get to experience some of them soon. If you play your cards right.”
The implication hung in the air, heavy with mystery and promise. You didn’t know exactly what Michelle meant, but you could feel the weight of the moment. You were closer than ever before to uncovering the secrets of the sorority—and to completing your trial.
And as the night wore on, with Michelle and Ashley by your side, you couldn’t help but feel like you were right where you were supposed to be.
The music in the background had faded into a hum, the laughter and voices around you blending into a soft buzz. You were in the zone now, the **** doing its job, and your conversation with Michelle had become more intimate, more charged with the kind of energy that hovered just beneath the surface at parties like these.
Michelle’s sharp wit matched your own, and as the drinks kept coming, the two of you found yourselves locked into a specific, increasingly daring topic: kink. It started innocently enough—a joke about handcuffs in the heat of a wild hookup—but before you knew it, the conversation took a deeper dive.
“You ever try it?” Michelle asked, her eyes narrowing as she sipped from her cup. The question felt like a trap, but a delicious one.
“Handcuffs? Yeah, a few times,” you said casually, trying to act like Luna was completely unfazed by the direction things were going. “It can be fun, but only if the person knows what they’re doing.”
Michelle’s smirk widened. “Exactly. It’s all about trust, you know? Like, being tied up or giving someone control—it’s more mental than physical. If you don’t trust them, it’s pointless. But when you do...”
Her words hung in the air like a spark, igniting something in the conversation. You found yourself nodding, not just to agree but because you could feel the electricity between you both.
“Oh, definitely,” you said, voice softening. “I think that’s what makes it hot, the power dynamic. It’s not just about the act—it’s about who you’re doing it with and how they take control.”
Michelle’s eyes locked onto yours, and you saw something flicker there. “Exactly, Luna. Not many people get that. But you do.”
You felt a blush rise in your cheeks, but you weren’t sure if it was from the **** or the heat of the conversation. Either way, you kept your cool.
“So... you’re into that too?” you asked, your tone just on the edge of teasing.
Michelle tilted her head, studying you for a moment, before letting a slow, knowing smile stretch across her lips. “Maybe. But I’m more into finding out if you are.”
The challenge in her voice sent a shiver down your spine, and you couldn’t help but smile back, feeling bold, feeling Luna’s confidence coursing through you. “Well, I guess you’ll just have to find out, won’t you?”
Before Michelle could respond, Ashley let out a giggle and nudged you both. “Whoa, I don’t know what you two are talking about, but it feels like I should be taking notes.”
You and Michelle shared a glance before bursting into laughter. The energy between you two was undeniable, and you could tell Michelle was making up her mind about you—even though you weren’t technically part of the sorority. Yet.
Meanwhile, across the room, you spotted Liam, leaning against the kitchen counter with a pretty brunette from the sorority. She was clearly into him, leaning in close, her hand occasionally brushing his arm as she laughed at something he said. Liam had that goofy grin on his face, but you could tell he was enjoying the attention. The flirty banter between them was thick, and it didn’t take a genius to see where it was heading.
You smirked, glancing back at Michelle, who had noticed too. “Looks like your friend’s hitting it off.”
You nodded. “Yeah, looks like it. Honestly, good for him.”
Michelle leaned in closer, her lips brushing against your ear, her voice a soft, sultry whisper. “You know... there’s something I haven’t mentioned yet.”
You turned your head slightly, your curiosity piqued. “Oh?”
Michelle’s lips curled into a smirk as she pulled back, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “There’s this... inner circle. Something not everyone here knows about. But I think... you might be someone who’d fit in.”
Your heart raced. You had heard whispers about the inner workings of sororities, the secret traditions, the selective groups that were more than just party cliques. But to hear Michelle talk about it so openly, and to hint that _you _might be invited in, was intoxicating.
“What’s the catch?” you asked, a playful edge to your voice, though you already felt your curiosity pulling you in.
“No catch. Just... loyalty. And a willingness to dive deep into what this sorority is really about.” Michelle’s eyes gleamed as she took another sip of her drink. “It’s not for everyone, but I think you’re different. I see something in you.”
The **** buzzed in your veins, amplifying the allure of her words. You knew she was baiting you, but Luna couldn’t resist. “So, what do I have to do?”
Michelle’s smile widened, satisfied. “Why don’t you come with me? We can talk more privately.”
You hesitated, glancing around the room. Liam was still engrossed with his brunette, and the party was continuing on, oblivious to whatever was happening between you and Michelle. You felt a surge of adrenaline—this was it. This was the moment that could change everything.
Ashley noticed the shift, her eyes flicking between you and Michelle, and she smirked knowingly. “Oooh, what’s going on here?”
“Nothing you’re not already a part of,” Michelle said with a wink before turning her gaze back to you. “Ready?”
You nodded, feeling your heart pound in your chest. “Lead the way.”
Michelle stood up, subtly brushing her hand against your thigh as she did. “Keep it discreet,” she whispered, her lips brushing your ear.
You followed her lead, standing up and smoothing down your outfit, trying to keep your excitement from showing too much. Ashley gave you a teasing look but stayed quiet as Michelle discreetly led you through the crowd, weaving between groups of people chatting and laughing, until you reached the stairs.
As you climbed them, your pulse quickened, a mix of curiosity and anticipation. You didn’t know what was waiting for you upstairs, but whatever it was, you were ready.
The two of you disappear up the stairs, the party continuing below, unaware of the new chapter that was about to unfold for you.
