While getting Kynan out of that trap was the right thing to do, it did cause me to lose precious time. Since I don’t want to swim across the river, I am going to have to run all the way to the bridge, costing me even more time. Fortunately, I find the bridge fast enough. Though I fear I might already be too late to reach the glade. Oh well, it is what it is. Besides, I have already seen the girls dancing around their bonfire in previous years. I have something more important to do this year around.

I want to start a relationship with Tiona. Our parents have been incredibly close friends since long before Tiona and I were born. It was only natural for them to trust Tiona and I in each other’s care, so she and I have spent a lot of time together. With me being 4 years older than her, I also saw myself a bit as an older brother figure, despite us having completely different parents. But when Tiona became 17, I stopped seeing her as a sister and started noticing her as a woman. Except, she probably still sees me as an older brother, which is why I never dared confess my feelings for her.

I am hoping that if I can catch her in a Samhain, I would have the excuse that I have to abide by the rules and have sex with her. Then I could tell her the sex has caused a change in my feelings to her and maybe ask if it was the same for her. With some luck, Tiona might agree and we’d finally start dating. But in order for that to happen of course, I would first have to catch her.

Last year, Tiona simply didn’t stray. That was a sign she just wasn’t ready for it, and that is fine. This year however, I am praying to the ancestors that she is ready to stray. I am taking a huge risk of course. Tiona is only 1 girl and there are like 16 guys in the forest. So, I have a high chance of her being taken by someone else. I too am only 1 guy and there are like 16 girls, maybe even more. But if the ancestors hear my prayers, I am sure they will guide Tiona to me. I just have to have faith.
