Out of shape

After showing everyone meet their trainers, a montage of workouts began. Intercut with it was interviews with the trainers and other contestants. She saw all the other overweight contestants being encouraged, with their trainers talking about how hard they tried, or how much potential they had.

When it cut to her it was different though.

"Working with Lauren is going to be a challenge..." Her trainer Kyle said.

"I just can't believe how weak she is." Debra agreed.

While they spoke it showed footage of Lauren being unable to do a pushup, or bench press the smallest amount of weight.

"I assumed a young woman like her would have less trouble." Kyle said. "But frankly, she's in worse shape than anyone else."

Lauren felt incredibly low, but then things got much worse...
