Order in for a lazy morning

Eventually, neither of you ends up leaving the bed for another twenty minutes. Mostly because every time one of you tries to move, the other immediately pulls them back into another kiss.

At some point Jane ends up halfway sprawled across your chest again while sunlight slowly brightens the room around both of you. The blankets are tangled around your legs, her hair’s somehow even messier now, and the oversized hoodie she stole from you keeps slipping loosely off one shoulder every time she shifts against you.

“We are absolutely never making brunch reservations together,” you tease quietly while brushing your fingers along her waist beneath the hoodie.

Jane laughs softly against your chest. “That sounds like future us problem,” she replies sleepily.

“You’ve said that like four times this trip.”

“Because future us keeps sounding stressed,” she says confidently.

You shake your head while she grins lazily up at you before kissing you one more time.

Then her stomach growls again. This time louder.

Jane immediately groans and hides her face against your chest. “I’m being attacked,” she mutters dramatically.

“You’re losing a fight against your own body,” you laugh.

“It’s humiliating,” she replies.

“You know what might help?” you ask.

Jane lifts her head suspiciously. “Food?”

“Crazy concept, I know.”

She narrows her eyes for another second before finally sighing dramatically and climbing reluctantly off the bed.

“Fine,” Jane says while pushing messy hair out of her face. “But we’re staying in.”

You smile immediately. “Yeah?”

“Mhm,” she replies while grabbing your hoodie sleeves over her hands again. “I wanna be lazy today.”

Honestly? That sounds perfect.
