"Soon that artifact will be mine and you all will be dead," Wes said, fully aware he was being monitored by the Republic troops.
One Sith is Worth a Platoon in the Field
“Retreat! Retreat! He’s too powerful!” cried out a Republic trooper just moments before he flew backwards through the air and was skewered onto the crimson red blade of Wes’ lightsaber. A barrage of blaster fire followed the now dead trooper but thanks to Wes’ Force enhanced movement, he was able to deflect every bolt back to the trooper that shot it, killing them all. The trooper retreated in an orderly fashion, but that would not save them. Between Wes deflecting the blaster fire back at the shooters, and him pulling troopers into his blade, this squadron of soldiers were all dead before a single one could escape to safety.
“Yes, yes! Run, you cowards! Run to no avail! I’ll kill you all in the name of the Sith Empire and my master!” yelled Wes down the hallway to a room he sensed was full of soldiers. “Yes, set a trap for me you weak minded fools. I will spring your little trap and kill you all, just like with every single one you’ve set for me!” Wes bellowed at the door between him and the troopers before he Force pushed the door with enough force to send it flying across the room, taking out quite a few troopers in the process.
“FIRE!” the commander yelled as the troopers opened fire. Blaster fire came at Wes like a wall of light but he just smiled as he began to block and parry all the blaster fire that came his way. Wes worked slowly, well aware he can beat these non-Force users in this combat situation. As he crossed the threshold into the room, With a quick thought, two troopers that were waiting to ambush Wes at point blank range, but were instead thrown across the room, taking out a dozen troopers each.
With quick and precise movement, Wes was able to not only deflect any blaster bolts that came towards him, but he was also able to slash down any troopers that came within his striking distance as he closed the gap to the door at the other side of the room. It was with flawless swings of his saber, a mere blur of light to the troopers, that struck down their comrades while simultaneously returning their blaster fire back at them.
“H-he’s too strong! We gotta retreat!” yelled one of the troopers as he broke position and ran to the door Wes was heading to. He began to pound on the door while screaming. “LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!” he cried he pounded harder and harder.
“Trooper! Get back to your position! WE WILL HOLD THE LI-” the commander was unable to finish his sentence thanks to Wes, who shoved his lightsaber through the back of the trooper as he was yelling at his subordinate.
“Please...please spare me!” the cowering trooper begged Wes. Wes looked down on the trooper who was on his knees, his hands clasped together, whimpering to be left alive. Nothing but contempt ran through Wes as he watched this pathetic excuse of a soldier.
“You are a disgrace to your military and the Republic. Your weak will is why the Sith Empire will reign supreme!” Wes told the trooper before he reached out with the Force and began to choke the trooper. His hands reached up for his helmet and tossed it aside in a vain attempt to breath better. Wes looked on as the now revealed Duros trooper scratched at his throat in an attempt to remove the invisible clamp that felt like was wrapped around his throat.
“C-can’t breath...” the alien said with what little air he could get. He struggled again to free the blockage of his throat, his fear disallowed him to realize that the Sith before him was Force Choking him to death.
“Of course you can’t, that’s what I want,” Wes said before he twisted his hand. Once the movement was finished, Wes heard the crack of the Duros’ neck and saw the body slump over, dead. With a flick of his wrist, the Sith sent the body flying away from the door that he wanted to go through.
“Now, to deal with this door,” Wes said as he ignited his lightsaber and began to cut through the door, well aware that his prize was close by. He would get that artifact and be rewarded by his master, and he could think of a few different ways she might reward him, any of which he would be happy with.
“Master Jedi, are you sure you should leave?” asked the flight commander.
“I’m afraid I must. This artifact must be returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. It’s secrets could help us end this war quickly, if what I believe is on it, is indeed on it,” the Jedi Master told the flight commander.
“Very well, Master Jedi. I will scramble some fighters to cover your escape but I don’t know how well you’ll do against the destroyers in orbit,” he said to the Jedi. The Jedi merely nodded at the man as he placed a hand on his shoulder.
“That is all that I can ask you to do. We all must do what we can if we are to save the galaxy from darkness,” he said.
“Of course, sir,” said the flight commander before he stopped talking and listened to the comms in his helmet. “Sir! The Sith has butchered the entire platoon that was sent to slow him down. He’ll be here in a matter of seconds!” the panicked man told the Jedi Master.
“No, he is here now, duck!” the Jedi said as he threw his blade towards the flight commander. The man quickly ducked just in time to see the Jedi’s blue lightsaber smash into a red lightsaber that was behind his head. “Scramble your fighters and have them clear a path, I will deal with this quickly and join them soon,” he said as he caught his lightsaber and moved towards Wes.
“Big words coming from a Jedi. I already broke one of you, I’m sure I can do it again!” Wes said as a twisted smile crept across his face.
“Yes, we suspected as much when Padawan Alema failed to report in. At least I will have the honor of bringing her killer home in chains!” the Jedi Master said as he readied his lightsaber.
“Killer? Now who said anything about killing her? My master broke her mind and made her into an obedient little slut. I bet she’s sucked and fucked half of the crew by now,” Wes said as his intended effect happened as a hint of anger appeared on the Jedi’s face as he lunged towards the young Sith. Wes saw his opening and quickly used Force Push to send the Jedi reeling back and into a nearby ship.
“You will pay for your crimes, Sith! Your kind does nothing but corrupt and kill any you touch! The Dark Side will be your undoing!” the Jedi said as he rose from the destroyed ship and used the Force to fling pieces at Wes. Wes was easily able to cut through, dodge, or deflect all the rubble that came his way. Wes readied himself for the incoming attack as the Jedi Master once again rushed towards him.
