On the road

A little more ten minutes later Brandon’s black SUV made its way back onto the main road with Brandon sitting behind the wheel and Ashley on the passenger seat next to him, both with slightly gloomy looks on their faces as the two older girls in the back seat laughed at the story they’d shared since the group of five had crammed into the car a few minutes earlier. With Vicky tagging along the plan had still been to try and repeat their previous experience with Brandon’s teammate, but Ashley’s older sister and Taylor that sort of put a pin in that, making the trip pretty much pointless.

“So Vicks, ready to get wild this week?” Hannah turns to the girl sitting to her right, continuing on an earlier conversation from their ride out to the cabin.

“Hmm?” Victoria turned from staring out the window to the college girl next to her, “Oh yeah, it’s gonna be blast.”

“Mm-hmm, it will! Work hard play hard and all that jazz you know…” Hannah added, making the younger blonde blush as she remembered the final moments of the first part of the conversation and how she had ended the talk with her friend’s older sister when the outrageous lecture on self-pleasure and toys had turned to acts including other people, boys, obviously, but also girls!

“Seriously?” she gasped exasperated.

“Oh yes, I told I’m peer educator…” Hannah shrugged, enjoying making the cute teenager divert her gaze, “- you can ask me anything, and Taylor too!”

“Jesus Christ sis!” Ashley interjects from the front, “- with the jilling lecture again?”

“Well, I can help with the more advanced classes too,” Hannah returned, as Taylor just sat with a huge smile plastered on her face imagining her friend and the virginal young Vicky on the ride out here, “- you’ve asked plenty, and never complained!” Hannah continued as she pushed her body forward, head between the couple up front, “- right, Bran?”

The stuttered murmur from the driver and the wide-eyed gasp from the younger Woodsen sibling as Hannah stare at them with a challenging smirk on her face, causing a chuckle from Taylor.

“Jeez Hanners,” she laughs with a little shake of her head, changing the subject by asking “So, who were you guys planning to try and convince joining us at the lake?”

“Our friend Lee…” Victoria replies after a few seconds, when it becomes clear the two upfront won’t be responding, “- he plays on the football team with Brandon.”

“Lee?” Hannah ponder, “- do I know that one?” she ask her baby sister and her boyfriend.

“Uhm, I don’t know?” Brandon replies, “He plays center, Lee Thornton…” he shrugs as he only briefly glance at Hannah’s head hovering next to his shoulder, “- his brother’s visiting today, so he couldn’t make it before,”

“Brother, Thornton-” Taylor repeats, “Oh right, he’s that guy who played on the basketball team…”

“Who?” Hannah asks her friend.

“He was a senior when we started at high school” Taylor reminded her, “- played some on the football team too, remember?”

“Oh yeah, big fellow…” Hannah nods, turning her head back to the couple in the front seats, “- so if his brother is visiting, why would he come out now?”

“Hmm, I -“ Ashley hesitates, “Well, it’s just for today I guess… lunch and such…” she shrug.

“Okay,” Hannah said incredulously, eyeing her sister for a brief moment, “- are we swinging by home first or?”

“Yeah, that’ll work.” Brandon replied.

“Mm-hmm,” the elder Woodsen purred, “So Ash, you two looking to share your bed with another person then?” she asked her sister.

“What?!” Ashley gasped, as her boyfriend gulped and clenched his hands tight at the steering wheel, two sets of alert eyes on Hannah immediately, Ashley turning her head while Brandon made use of the rearview mirror.

“What?” Hannah asked with a confused look on her eyes, startled by the couples’ response and a little amused which brought a grin to her lips, “- I mean we’ve only just arrived and you’re looking for another person to join? Rooming with Madison and Vicky back here isn’t enough?”

“Oh,” Ashley mumbles, “- yeah, that…”

“Could get a little cramped in there, is all” Hannah finishes and leans back into her seat, perplexed at the response and sharing a look with the equally puzzled Taylor they both giggle softly and slump back in the seat as the forest pass by outside.

Ashley and Brandon share a look before both diverting their gaze, Brandon onto the road and Ashley out to the side, both their minds still on that shared fantasy of another man, specifically Lee at this moment in time, being with the blonde cheerleader. Thankfully the remaining passengers are not privy to these thoughts as the mood remains slightly awkward for the remained of the ride.

Earlier that morning at the Thornton home Lee ended the call from his school teammate Brandon Cole with “See ya,” and then shook his head slightly as he thought about the confusing conversation he just had. Putting his phone back onto the sofa table he leaned back, stretching back onto the couch as he considered if he had time to start playing a game before his brother arrived…

The low sound of a booming bass answers his question, as he hear the car pulling over outside. Getting up he looks outside, seeing the Lexus shimmering in the sun down by the curb, the loud music blaring from the car stopping as the doors open and two large, black figures steps out.

His older brother Bobby played hoops at college and was bringing home with a man who he had befriended during his now almost four years there, not another student but a self-made business man as Lee had heard him described. Their parents certainly weren’t a fan of this and were partly why he hadn’t come to visit until now were mom and pops where away on vacation, it suited Lee great as he looked forward to meeting his brother once more and this guy who was also helping Bobby with his next steps in life, having made initial contacts for him to play ball overseas somewhere.

“Hey!” Lee greets as he quickly pulls open the front door and step outside, moving in for a big bear hug with his older sibling.

“What’s up shawty!” Bobby smiles and wraps his big arms around his little brother.

“Long time man,” Lee grins when he steps back, “Hey, I’m Lee!” he turns to the other guy, a good decade older than his 24-year-old brother but seemingly in great shape and would have looked quite big if not standing near Bobby and Lee.

“This if my buddy Mike,” he introduces the man next to him, “- Mike, my brother Lee!”

“Hey man,” the man greats Lee, slapping his hand onto his, “Great to finally meat you, and be here at Bobby’s old stomping grounds!”

“Hey, it’s happening here at Azure Rocks,” Bobby grins, “- just, maybe, don’t get your hopes up!”

“Well, come on in you guys, we’ll throw something on the grill and have a few beers, and tell me all about college life bro!” Lee points them inside.

“Sounds good,” Mike agreed as the trio moved inside.

“And I just got a call from a friend of mine and it looks like he’ll drop by with his sexy little cheerleader of a girlfriend a little later on, maybe some of her friends too, so our little town has a little something to offer after all!” Lee adds as they enter the house.
