I snapped to wake her, and she discarded her clothes, tucked her arms into her armpits, and began to strut around.

"Buk-buk-buk!" she said. "Buk-buGAWK!"

"Heh, good chicken," I laughed, stroking her hair.

I watched her strut around as a chicken for a while until the next sibling came.
