On a free Sunday

The school day had proven uneventful and carefree. Classes were their usual boring affair, lunch was pleasant enough, and archery practice was fun as always. Yukari's club rival, Kaya, tried to prod Yukari into a shooting competition, but Yukari wasn't about to let Kaya's showboating and baiting get to her. After all, Yukari had nothing to prove to her, and it wouldn't really be fair to compete when she had experience using a bow in an actual combat situation, unlike Kaya's purely range-trained skills. This was all irrelevant, of course, as Yukari now had a full Sunday to herself!

While she might hang out with Minako or one of her other friends later, Yukari decided to spend the earlier half of the day on her own, enjoying the fresh air and sights of the city. At the moment, Yukari was happily browsing the inventory of the flower shop near the monorail station. Yukari figured it might be worth it to brighten up her room a bit more with some fresh flowers. Of course, she'd need a vase too, and maybe some potting soil.

While Yukari thought about what to buy, she had no idea that she was being watched. The flower shop was relatively close to the back alleys where the city's rougher element spent their time; Yukari had been there before with Minako and Junpei while trying to find out where Fuuka had disappeared to, and it was only the fortunate arrival of Shinjiro-senpai that had kept things from taking a bad turn. Shinjiro wasn't around today, however, and for two women that had been there at the night of his intervention, the sight of the pink-clad girl incited feelings of vengeance.

This Gekkoukan, better-than-thou girl thought she could just walk into their territory and start asking questions? Just who did she think she was? She was a nobody, and certainly didn't have the right to go barging into other people's business like that. Sure, Shinjiro apparently deemed her off-limits, but he couldn't stop what he didn't know about, now could he? The girls had threatened Yukari with taking pictures that would humiliate her, and they had every intention of following through. With their prey in their sights, it was just a question of how to get to her...
