Old Man comes to check Katie's progress (does he come himself or posses a body?

Katie was walking back to her office, when she heard the sound of hands clapping behind her. "Nicely done, Oh Queen of Sin" a voice said. Katie turned around to see Michael, the kid who's soul she first ate, smiling at her. She looked at him confused, unsure how his body was able to think on its own. That caused him to frown. "Wow, you're clearly not too observant....you don't recognize me?" he asked as suddenly, the image of the Old Man flickered over Michael's body.

Katie jumped. "Oh! I'm sorry sir, I couldn't tell that was you! Why are you wearing that meat suit?" she asked, wrapping her arms around the boy's body. "Let's go talk to in my office" she said as she opened the door and brought him inside.

The Old Man, who was not so old right now, looked at Katie with a serious look in his face. "did you hear about what happened?"

"What are you talking about?" Katie asked, confused. The possessed young man chuckled.

"Wow, you really haven't heard yet? I thought this place was supposed to get all of the connections. I see that someone needs to learn how to use this place better" he said with a know it all grin before continuing. "Your former body was killed last night."

"What?" Katie asked, confused. 'Michael' just nodded.

"You heard me. Jonny had this whole big plan at a gala event that went a bit wrong. Your original human body was fatally wounded and I just felt it burning away in the demonic flames that always consume bodies that were completely used up. Jack is gone forever now. And that means that you should be completely free from being a human."

Katie looked down, not quite knowing how she felt. She never really felt connected to her old body, even when she was a human. In fact, she always hated her life, so part of her was relieved about this. The other part, though, was quite upset. This was a whole chapter of her life that was now over. "So...is that all I owe this please for? You coming here to tell me that I'm dead?" she asked. "Also, does this mean that Jonny is gone?" Katie asked, genuinely concerned. She really hoped that Jonny was still alive. She saw him as being like a father to her and really wanted him around to help her. Not that the Old Man wasn't a nice treat, but he was certainly no Jonny.

"Jonny is fine. The last time I saw of him, he went with his new assistant to find a new body for himself. I do not know who he selected, but he will have a very interesting part of his story ahead of him. As will you" the Old Man said with a grin. "I saw your little playing around with the mob boss' daughter. You will win the bet you made with Dimbe. Judging from the way that the gears of her mind were turning, she will be taking over her family business before you know it. I want you to use that. If Jonny plays his cards right, he will be in control of the entire police ****. And you will be in charge of the whole underworld. The two of you will be int he perfect positions to cause exactly the kind of chaos that feeds me the most."

"Feed you? You mean all of the chaos that demons causes is used to feed you and make you more powerful?"

"That's exactly what I mean. Contrary to popular belief, I am not all powerful. I feed off of the chaos and evil int his world. My demon's help to sustain my power indefinitely. I would be incredibly weak if it were not for all of you keeping my powers at what they are. You've been doing an excellent job so far...."

Katie frowned. So all she was was a pawn to keep this being powerful? That didn't feel right. If she spread chaos in the world, she wanted it to be for her own enjoyment, not just because some other demon wanted to keep himself in control. Her and Jonny were pretty powerful...maybe the two of them could team up and weaken the Old Man enough to take his role for themselves.

Suddenly, the possessed boy put his hand on Katie's shoulder. His eyes glowed red, followed by Katie's doing the same. "Now now, my dear, I can;t have you thinking thoughts like those" he said, his voice now the demonic voice of the old man. "You will never again think about plotting against me. Yes, your chaos feeds me, but you enjoy keeping me happy because I own you. You will make sure that Jonny understands this as well, got it, girl?" he asked, removing his hand as Katie's eyes returned to her body's normal colors.

She smiled at the other possessed person. "Of course, sir. Jonny and I will make sure you stay nice and well fed for a looong time. Now is there anything else, or can I start my plans for chaos?" She asked, sitting down at her desk and going onto her computer, seeing headlines of the attack at the gala that had killed her old body.

"No, there is nothing else. I'll just leave this body where I found him" the Old Man said, disappearing in a puff of smoke.
