Off Easy

Sitting at the office mindlessly clacking away gets mindnumbing quickly. 8 hours straight of this was nearly impossible. Today was just a day you coulndt really get it together, you mind started to wander, you stared off into space. Deep in thought one person kept creeping into your mind, Archie. You talked to him regularly but werent best friends so to speak. You always wanted to get closer to him, altough you werent really sure how. You also werent sure why, you were scared it might be gay thoughts in your head, you tried to avoid them best you could and convince yourself its a phase but you seem to prove yourself wrong everytime. You have even caught yourself thinking about random guys at work, and now with Archie you are really considering that your just like this, you havent been in a relationship in so long that maybe this is the route for you, but those thoughts quickly leave your mind as your boss puts a hand on your shoulder.

"You alright there" he says with a surprisingly soft tone. You expect mad but he seems caring

"w-wh.. o-oh yea sorry... minds kinda... foggy I guess I dozed off." the thoughts still stick to your mind like glue

your boss sighs and takes his hand off your back "Your not looking great, take the day off."

You look surpised and are abou to ask if hes sure, but dont wanna test your luck so you pack up and leave.
