You kick her out of your bed, cursing her out all the while. She leaves your room, naked and in tears, her flesh jiggling and wobbling erotically as she leaves. Before she started crying though, you know you saw it in her face; annoyance. She'd planned to seduce you tonight, and you resisted. The servants may talk about how cruel you are to your "grieving mother" but you know...Your stepmother is far more calculating than she seems.

As further proof of this, you notice the next day she is much more composed. The narrative shifts now. Rather than seeing her as having faked her grief, people say she "hit rock bottom and heroically rallied for your sake." You want to argue, but after the scene she caused, general sentiment in the castle has shifted. You're still undeniably in charge, but if you ordered her removed from your castle to live in poverty, you doubt the halls of your palace would be as full as they are today. It seems like only you can see this snake for what she is.
