"Monoma would have a fit right now if he saw me going out with three Class 1-A students," Setsuna quipped as they all walked together into town.

"What's his problem with us?" Ochaco asked curiously. "We didn't do anything to him."

"You didn't have to, he's pretty obsessed with being competitive I think," Setsuna shrugged. "And he's trying to get us on board with it. He wants to be able to say Class 1-B is better than 1-A. Funnily enough, he's quite the team player. Still, he does blame you guys for dragging our class into the USJ incident. Says that if you didn't start the study group, we would have ultimately gone separately, and only 1-A would have dealt with the threat to our lives."

Izuku grimaced. Monoma wasn't entirely wrong there. Starting the study group had given Nezu the idea of combining classes for that joint trip. "Sorry about that," Izuku apologized.

"Relax, it was hardly your fault Villains decided to attack, you could not have possibly predicted that, Monoma's just being stupid... As per usual," Setsuna quipped. "Frankly, he'd probably be mad if it was just 1-A who fought the Villains too. He'd probably be calling you all glory hounds then. There's no winning with him."

"Yeesh, sounds like he has a problem!" Ochaco giggled.

"Honestly, I think he's a bit insecure. His Quirk isn't exactly one that makes him popular. He copies other people's Quirks temporarily, and that makes him feel like he doesn't really have a power to call his own, among other things," Setsuna shrugged.

Izuku grimaced. He could imagine. Monoma probably grew up around people who considered him a leech, or even felt violated when he copied their Quirks. Or probably even told him his Quirk wasn't suited to allow him to be a Hero. It probably wasn't much better than being Quirkless in today's society. It definitely explained why he worked with a tight knit group, people he could rely on to lend him their Quirks, and was so competitive, determined to prove himself and those he was closest to. "That sounds rough. I get where he's coming from."

"Oh? You got a story yourself?" Setsuna asked.

"My Quirk works on a stockpile of energy, and it took years to develop enough to be usable, so I basically grew up with everyone, myself included, thinking I was Quirkless," Izuku replied, giving her the same cover story he gave everyone besides Momo and Ochaco thus far.

Setsuna grimaced. "Yikes. You and Monoma probably could have bonded over similar experiences if not for the separation of classes," she remarked. She then changed the subject. "So what do you guys wanna do?" she inquired, gesturing around the town. "There's plenty of options!"

"We're letting you pick, we wanna get to know you better~!" Ochaco chirped.

"...you sure? I don't wanna impose," Setsuna replied.

"This is your first date with us," Izuku backed up Ochaco, Momo also nodding in agreement. "Take your pick."
