Oculus Polypus

This small octopus like alien posseses a human by entering their mouths and assimilating into their body, altering their brain function. The host keeps their original personality but now obsessed with the octopus and puts this creatures desire ahead of their own. Due to its solitary nature, the host also desires to keep the Effusio Polypus hidden from everyone else by keeping it inside it's body.

Once "assimilated" with their host, the creature alters their biology, a red eye appearing in the centre of their chest and replacing their tongue with one that splits off into multiple tentacles at its end. It also turns their irises red.
