Jenn pulled Gregory halfway across campus before she realized she was pulling him. She stopped and he nearly collided with her.

"Oh, shit," she giggled. "I'm sorry, I'm just... eager! I can't wait to get home!"

At that moment, in some dim little corner of Jennifer's mind, the lights flickered out and her smile widened slightly. She was aware that she was changing, physically and mentally, at an alarming rate. That didn't bother her at all.

Jennifer burst into the crummy studio apartment she had tried to turn into a home with a slightly embarrassed Gregory in tow.

"Make yourself at home!" she said as she put a kettle on. "Can I get you anything?"

"Uh, not right now," he said quietly. His demeanor had stiffened suddenly. "Jennifer, are you fucking with me?"

Her grin fell as she processed what he asked. "What? No! Why would you-"

"Your lips!" he interjected. "You didn't have lipstick on five minutes ago!"

"So?" she demanded, bringing up a finger to confirm. "Why would I wear lipstick to-"

Jennifer stopped and looked down at the faint smear of muted maroon on her finger. "Well, that's weird."

"And that's not the only thing! You keep changing clothes! Everytime I turn around you look a little different!"

She'd already noticed that. "I definitely did not change into a skirt," she admitted. "At least it's an improvement."

"But that lipstick," he said. "That's a very specific color. I've seen it somewhere before..."
