Chapter 7 by Zebra Zebra

What's next?

Oasis...

As you take flight once more, after drinking water and refilling your water bottle at the oasis. Ben flies back yo the temporary camp up on the ridge line down east, reporting his find to captain Dar and the others…

You land near them, catching the attention of everyone around. They cheer upon seeing you return safely. Captain Dar hobbles over to greet you personally, smiling warmly despite his injury. "Ben! You've returned!" He exclaims happily, patting you heartily on the shoulder. "What did you discover?"

"I found an oasis," you say proudly, holding out your full water-skin. The other Wind Riders gasp collectively as they see how much water you have collected. One of them quickly comes forward with a map and starts sketching out where the oasis is located. The group discuss the prospect of building a new permanent camp at the oasis, it takes some doing to get Dar over there since he had lost a wing… But eventually they all agree that this could be what they need in these harsh times. Another begins discussing strategies for moving their current supplies to the new location while protecting it from potential threats.

Captain Dar nods thoughtfully before turning towards the rest of his crew. "We must move swiftly but carefully," he says firmly. "This discovery could change everything for us." With renewed determination, every member of the group sets about preparing for the journey ahead - packing up tents, gathering food stores, ensuring weapons are sharpened and ready for use if needed.

As night falls, Ben helps guide some of the younger members through the dark skies using the light of the moon and stars. Together, you all make good progress toward the promised land that will hopefully provide sustenance and safety in these trying times.

Ben felt a strong sense of pride and accomplishment as he soared through the night sky, leading the younger members towards the newly discovered oasis. The knowledge that this find could change their lives for the better gave him an extra spring in his step - he was determined to see everyone reach their new home safely.

As the hours passed, Ben noticed that Captain Dar was looking pale and weak as the other carried him through the sky struggling his optimistic demeanor. Ben couldn't help but feel a surge of protectiveness towards the injured captain - he knew that Dar had been through a lot and was still trying to lead them all with courage and strength.

With that thought in mind, Ben decided to fly back to the rear of the group and keep an eye on Dar, making sure the wind riders carrying him didn't fall to far behind. He stayed close, ready to lend a hand if needed - a small gesture that meant a lot to the injured captain.

As the group finally reached the oasis the following morning, Ben couldn't contain his excitement. He circled overhead, taking in the sight of their new home - lush vegetation, fresh water, and a sense of security that they hadn't felt in a long time.

Captain Dar hobbled over to the water's edge, his eyes glistening with tears of joy and relief. "We did it, Ben," he said, clapping you heartily on the back. "We found a sanctuary and food source for our village."

And with that, the Wind Riders began the process of building their new permanent camp, their spirits high and their sights set on a brighter future. Despite the challenges they had faced, they had come together as a group and discovered something truly valuable - a place where they could finally call home. As the days turned into weeks at the newly established oasis settlement, life slowly started returning to normalcy for the wind riders. The younger members were learning how to navigate through the skies more efficiently under your guidance, while others worked tirelessly to build sturdy shelters from the materials available around them. Captain Dar one wing... was constantly seen inspecting the progress made by everyone, ensuring everything was up to par. His spirit remained strong despite his injury, inspiring all those around him.

Dar one wing...
