Nothing you can do about it

The giantess hand lowered you into the entrance to the cave. It was round and led to a vertical tunnel. You felt yourself falling, but didn't have time to scream before you hit the ground. When you opened your eyes, you dropped like ten feet. You saw then something being dropped on you, so you rolled away in panic. Luckily, it was only a torch.

"Are you ok there, David?" You heard Ronald's voice from above. "It would be a shame if you broke your neck already, I'd have to search for another guy."

You didn't oblige with answer.

"David answer me, or the next person I'll throw in that cave will be that fairy of yours, and I might take my time to throw her in pieces."

You shuddered at his words.

"I'm fine you psycho!" You screamed in anger.

"Oh, that's no way of talking to your host. I'll have to think of a way to make you pay for that." You cursed silently. "No matter, I'm sure we can resolve that ugly situation when you get me the item. Anyway, as far as I know, only a male can get to it. I tried to go around it by sending some of the more talented monster girls, but as far as I know they failed. If they are still alive, do you mind bringing them back to me? I'd be eternally grateful."

"What are you even doing with all of them? It is some sort of harem where you mind control everyone to do your bidding?"

"Oh, it's so much greater than that. I am a dreamer, David. A person with great ambitions. And one of them is to rule. My talent allows me to exert my influence in a small radius, and it's being triggered by a combination of words. I simply wish for it to be bigger. I made a pact with an entity that doesn't concern you to retrieve the item in question, and in turn it will expand my abilities. Wonderful how quid pro quo can be used even in this world, isn't it?"

You had no words for this man's insolence. You were glad that since this guy went through the portal, AWIO increased their security and background checks making sure only decent people go through.

"Anyway, let's not linger anymore. If you are not back here at the entrance of this tunnel tomorrow morning, I'm killing the centaur, I already have one, and your seems, for lack of better word, inferior. If you take even longer... Well, I assume you know what's going to happen."

With that he left the entrance.

You picked up a torch and studied your surroundings. Entrance high above you was impossible to reach for you and you knew you weren't any good at climbing, especially when the walls were as smooth as these ones. Behind you was the tunnel. Without much thinking and with suppressing your emotions, you marched forward.

After few minutes of hearing only the echo of your foot steps, you saw her. A girl with rabbit-like ears, breathing sharply with glassy eyes. You lowered your torch to look at her body. Her right leg was bent in the unnatural direction, clearly broken in the knee area. She was dirty, looked like she crawled until this point before exhausting herself. You could only wonder how long she was here.

"Hey, can you hear me?" You reached down to touch her.

You barely managed to jump away when she attacked with her claws with a clear intention of piercing through your jacket.

"Must help him, must help Ronald, he asked me and I don't mind." She muttered in the darkness, her mind clearly being somewhere else.

"Hey, Ronald sent me here as well. We should help him together." You tried talking to her, but it didn't help. She was clearly too lost in her madness.

This man... You wanted to destroy him. To take away everything he had. He enslaved so many people, discarded them like broken toys. You had your goal, your own enemy, but in that moment, this guy was you priority. Yet, right now you were powerless, completely at his mercy, with no plan to move get out of this situation unscathed. You felt something boil in you, a foreign feeling that strangely started to become yours. With greatest difficulty you managed to overcome it and get back to your senses.

"I'll be back for you. And I'll do whatever I can to stop him. I promise."

You said while moving around the girl, the sad image burned in your mind.
