Nothing lasts forever

*[Meanwhile, at Ashley's place, right after Aiden's outfit left]

"I hope 'he' visits me again soon. Hopefully my forwardness didn't scare 'him' off." Ashley's outfit giggled to itself as it closed the window. "But what now? What am I supposed to do now that I'm alive?" it pondered while pacing around the room. "Maybe I should..." its thoughts were interrupted by the door suddenly opening.

Ashley's outfit tried to run and take cover, but it tipped and fell to he ground, drawing attention to itself. As last ditch effort the outfit deflated and lay motionless on the ground, hoping that Ashley would think that she was just imagining things. Ashley froze in place, questioning if what she just saw was real. She slowly backed out of the room.

"Shit...I fucked it up...but, maybe...Maybe there is still a chance? Maybe if I keep pretending nothing happened, she will eventually arrive at the conclusion that she was just paranoid?" these thoughts were going through Ashley's outfit's mind.

After a moment Ashley enters the room again, now holding a broom. She points the handle of the broom towards the outfit, poking at it from distance, the outfit trying its best not to react. After few pokes she decides to use a lot more ****. Ashley's outfit winces in pain, the movement of it clearly visible.

*Gasp* sound exited Ashley's mouth as she jumped back in fear. She flipped the broom around, ready to use it as a weapon. She swung the broom at her outfit and was about to hit it, but it managed to doge the broom just in time. Ashley's outfit realized that it was pointless to keep pretending and quickly stood up, inflating to Ashley's proportions. When out of range it turned around, now facing Ashley. Ashley's mouth hung open, her body slightly shaking in fear. She took a deep breath.

In that moment Ashley's outfit realised that she is about to scream. Not wanting to reveal its secret to any more people that it already had, it needed to come up with something and quick. Suddenly, idea came to its mind. Ashley's outfit kicked its 'leg' into the air, its sock separating from the outfit at the end of the kick, the momentum causing it to continue in that trajectory. The sock flew straight into Ashley's open mouth, preventing her from screaming. Her outfit then ran for the door, closing them, standing in front of them, blocking the only exit.

"Phwese... dwn't hwrt me..." Ashley said, muffled by the sock, tears starting to form.

"I-I don't want to hurt you" Ashley's outfit replied.

"Dw you whnt to kill me?" Ashley continued.

"NO! That's not what I said!" Ashley's outfit trying desperately to calm down the situation.

"Dwn't jwst stnd ther... wht dw you wnt frwm me?" Ashley said, now backed against the wall.

"Wait... Do you hear me?" Ashley's outfit asked confused.

"Dw smthng wlready!" Ashley said still in a state of panic.

Ashley's outfit realised that it was only able to communicate with other clothes, not being able to talk to people because it has no mouth to speak with. It started to panic, looking around the room desperately trying to find some solution to this situation. Its sight ended up on Ashley's school notebook, some pencils and pens on the table. It quickly made its way towards the table, grabbing the notebook and a pen from the table and quickly returned back to the door, making sure that Ashley does not escape.

"Hwy! Thwt's Mwine!" Ashley said.

Ashley's outfit opened the notebook at a blank page and started scribbling something into it. Ashley watched everything unfold, anxious about what's about to happen. When Ashley's outfit finished drawing, it started slowly approaching Ashley, making sure to look as non-threatening as possible. At this point Ashley was more confused than scared, but some of the fear was still there. Ashley's outfit then flipped the notebook towards her, showing her the drawing it made. It held the notebook in the middle with its sleeve and used the other sleeve to point at the different parts of the drawing.

The drawing consisted of two parts, both resembling something like an equation. First part consisted of a crude drawing of shirt with pants under it (representing an outfit), next to it was an arrow that was crossed out, pointing to something that looked like a skull.

"Cltwhes.... not... dweth? Oh... I thwng I gwt It... you dwn't whnt to kill mwe? Ashley said awkwardly, still trying her best to speak through the sock.

Ashley's outfit started jumping up and down in excitement.

"I gwes thwt mweans ywes?" Ashley said still confused about the situation, the initial fear was almost gone now.

Ashley's outfit stopped jumping and pointed to the second part of the drawing. It depicted a drawing of an outfit again, next to it was a heart and then something that vaguely resembled a portrait of a person.

"you... hwart... pweopwle?" Ashley asked.

Her outfit responded by "no" motion, it then pointed its sleeve at the last image and then at Ashley.

"Oh... You lwike mwe?" Ashley asked.

Ashley's outfit started to jump excitedly again.

"Tht's gwod t hwear... bwt cwuld you plwese rwmove thw swock frwm my mwouth?" Ashley said.

Ashley's outfit stopped jumping. It nervously looked at the door, then back to Ashley.

"Dwn't whry I whill b Qwuit" Ashley said.

Ashley's outfit seemed to think for a moment. Suddenly, the sock made its way out of Ashley's mouth, landing on to the ground, it went back to its original place, as the 'feet' of the outfit.

"Thanks." Ashley smiled, "...sooo...ehm... How is this possible? How are you alive?" Ashley whispered.

Ashley's outfit did a gesture with its sleeves as if saying "Really?".

"Oh...My bad..." Ashley said realizing that the outfit is not able to answer that kind of question, "Hmm...Let's do it like this." she said as she grabbed the notebook and flipped to another page. She then drew an "X" on the one side of the page and checkmark on the other. "So, I will ask you questions and you will point either to "yes" or "no", okay?" she said while pointing to the respective symbols.

Ashley's outfit then pointed to the checkmark (yes).

"Great." Ashley smiled, "So, do you know why you came to life?"

Ashley's outfit answered "no".

"Interesting. Did you come to life recently?"

Ashley's outfit answered "yes".

"Okay. Ehm...So...earlier it looked like you were trying to silence me at all cost, I'm guessing that you wanted to keep the fact that you came to life a secret?

Ashley's outfit didn't answer. It just sat down on Ashley's bed and buried its collar into its sleeves.

"Oh...Sorry about that...B-but don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I wont tell anyone, I promise." Ashley said.

Ashley's outfit seemed to relax a little bit, but no answer came, still sitting in the same position.

"I guess you don't feel like talking anymore? I understand that. If it makes you feel better, I appreciate how you handled the situation. Well, except for the sock *giggle*, but I understand that you had no bad intentions behind it." Ashley said. "Well...I think it would be the best to get some rest on it. I definitely need some sleep. I have school tomorrow." She said. There was still no response. So, she turned off the lights and laid in the bed, slowly drifting to sleep.

Ashley's outfit just sat there at the edge of the bed, thinking. "What have I done? What will Aiden's outfit think of me if 'he' finds out that I got caught? I have been alive only for a moment and everything so far has been a disaster..."
