Anise's jaw drops several inches, her mouth gaping open as she looks you up and down again. She begins to slowly back away from you, her steps uncertain.

Her hands shakily raise her knife to point it at you, threatening you with mild pinpricks of pain. She seems to realize you are eight levels and about a foot up on her, so she decides to reach into the little satchel of tricks on her hip.

Your reaction is swift and violent, your sword cleaving downwards in a vicious arc that threatens to take off her right arm. She sidesteps and dodges the blow, but a follow up horizontal slash cuts cleanly across her collar and takes a huge chunk out of her health bar.

The damage is so much higher than her defenses it counts as a knock back attack, and she is thrown backwards onto the ground by the blow. She is stunned long enough for you to plant a foot on her chest and initiate a pin.

"Oh gods oh gods oh gods please don't kill me." She begs, struggling. "I didn't mean it and I can't afford to lose all my gold, please don't kill me."

"Tell me why I shouldn't." You command, holding your sword to her throat. "Explain why I should refrain from ending you here and freeing this innocent monster you just attempted to kill."

"I'll give you all my gold and items, just don't kill me!" She pleads, pushing her head as far from the blade as she can. "Anything you want!"
